It wouldn't matter what district Clintwood was in, Honaker is the better team.  Besides, Clinwood has played 2 really solid teams in their 5 games prior to tonight.
 
Clintwood didn't play a great game and I honestly feel that the Greenwave are much better than they played tonight. Clintwood has issues on offense and if they want to make any kind of run in the playoffs they are going to have to fix them.
 
Honaker looked really good. Typical Honaker offense(I mean that in a good way); RB who is the heart of the offense, a couple of other backs to run the Traps and Counters and a solid play action passing game. Idk that Honaker is GREAT in any one area but they are very strong in all areas on offense.Their RB is obviously their best player, he didn't seem to be overly shifty, or fast but is strong and is a real grinder. Defense looked really good, best defense ive seen this season. Overall I was SHOCKED that Honaker was stronger than Clintwood. I couldn't count the times that the Tiger RBs and OL pushed Clintwood around, fighting for 4,5,6 more yards after contact. and Clintwood never really pushed Honaker off the los.  VERY impressive.
 
We have all known that Clintwood has taken a step back from last season, but Honaker has taken a step(or two) forward. 
 
Looks like its gonna be a battle of 9-0 teams on the last Friday night of the season. I cant wait!

boys,,, honaker was bigger, stronger than clintwood, clintwoods story of the night was 3 and punt,,,,we might have made it past midfield once....end of story....

that kid has an anger management issue......if he were mine...........................and we lived back in our neck of the woods.........that kid would be a hurtin more ways than one.....

Haysi will have a tough time running on the Wave D it will be up to the Haysi QB to keep the chains moveing (I think that the TE possition for them in this game might be the key to there success)
 
On the other Side Clintwood does not seem to have big punishing running backs that they have had in the past but there Right Tackel and TE are as good a two blockers as anyone in single A will see this seasonwith the rest of the line being solid if not road graders. I dont think that Clintwood can just line it up and beat a team like Haysi to death between the tackels as they have done over the last few seasons and a good play calling mix of run and pass will be key to there success.
 
Both teams have the same BIGGIST weakness......depth an injury to eather team to a key position in the week leading upto this game could tip the scales in favor of the other........All things being even with the game at Haysi I look for Clintwood to come away with a hard fought win by 2 TDs

i'd much rather be beat during reg, season than in playoffs......if you know what i mean.............................

Bullitt isn't a great field and the stands are average(for the visitors anyway) but the place is special. There are better stadiums but none with the history

just about like going for it on 4th and1 from your own 12...... go figure
