Agreed but it sure is a shame that we as a society have to now be responsible for making sure we keep our hands in our own pockets. You are right. Someone always out there looking to rip you off. I just have to be more diligent in teaching my kids that. This is a BIG deal here in this part of the world. There are some that have called for their state title to be yanked. Too extreme for me but is has given the program the proverbial black eye.

If you want to hear a Poquoson fan complain about the way the VHSL handles the state championship game, step right up. I have a beef with the fact that no doctors of any kind were on the field. Our player suffered a very serious internal injury but it was not detected until very much after the fact. Thank God he is recovering but I wonder what difference it would have made if a real doctor had been there instead of just a trainer from the University. Maybe an earlier diagnosis, faster treatment, less pain, speedier recovery? I guess we will never know. The good thing is no one lost their child. How about that for perspective? Love you true Richland fans!

Not facts, opinion. There is a difference. And yes you are correct that if the score had some how ended up as you seem to think at 24-23 we here in Poquoson would have been up in arms about the 2 TD's that were called back. But guess what, even with the score being what it is we are still griping about the TD's that were called back. So what does it matter now? We came to play the best football we could against the best team there was. We left there with a trophy but we had to leave behind one of our own. We paid a much higher price for that trophy than you think. Kudos to all of the other Richland fans that have denounced the facebook page and moved on to other things. We appreciate it!

hey the only thing richlands can say is.."ya cant win em all" and for ur sorry whining school, thats a perfect motto..hope yalls player had a nice group hug on that longg bus ride home...that trophy is gonna look real nice sittin at PHS...#11 from Richlands also deserves to be thrown around like a rag doll...wait he was during the game by jay diggs...and yea ill blame the refs for not making that game more embarassing for the richlands team..it woulda been like 41-17 if our 2 td's didnt get called back...thank you

OMG!!! I am so sorry. I didn't know that guy had a # on that you were talking about. Please accept my humble apologies for jumping to a conclusion that was so far off. I guess I did get caught up in the negativity on this thread. Sorry Richland Fans! Especially you BigBlueAlum.

I would like to congratulate your #44 for putting up a state-team performance in the game on Saturday and that was just in the first half. He was a beast to be sure. Now as for our #44, I can assure you that whatever Thomas did it was certainly not intentional or meanspirited. That boy doesn't have that in him. So I am glad you fans did not resort to that behavior. But then again after your team left the field and did not stay to attend the awarding of the trophy to Poquoson there was no one left to see this supposed incident. OMG I just let myself slip down to your level.

Didn't read this until just now but I would like to thank you so much for your honesty and enthusiasm. Not many in the state gave us any kind of chance to even compete in this game and to have it implied that it was only because the officials picked on Richlands diminishes the talent on both sides of the field. We here in P-Town appreciate your candor.

You offensive coordinator deserves a raise. He threw everything but the kitchen sink at us and it was all good. As for the refs, well what can I say? We got 12 points wiped out so quick that when we scored later I would not believe it until I saw it on the scoreboard. There was so much holding (on both sides) that for a minute I thought we were at the senior prom instead of a football game. The refs definitely made a difference in your last drive in the 4th quarter but I really think that by that time fatigue and other emotions started to work their way in. This again was on both sides. I know that P-Town Proud has made some Richland friends and I am now a big Blues fan. I will be watching you guys from afar and I wish you much success in the future. Come on over to the coast and see us sometime. We'd love to show you around Poquoson. Should take about 10 minutes and then we can talk more football!!

Congrats Blues! We here in P-Town were very impressed with all of you. Best darn game I have ever seen. We came out on top but it could just have easily gone the other way and don't think we don't know that. You and your fans were great. Thanks for all the hospitality. I will definitely keep visiting the site and watch you guys in the future.

I assure you most of us P-Town fans are NOT like whoever that person is. But we do have one that is so uptight. If you get him started he just goes off. It really isn't so much he is negative it's just that nobody compares to his team that his brother plays for...blah..blah..blah. If you ever get a few hours with nothing to do and you really want to be entertained just come on over to our site and check out his posts for this entire year. If you engage him I swear he will let you know that your mother, pastor, best friend and dog could never compare to his brother in anything. HA HA. Too bad for his brother too. He's a good kid. Anyway you will spot him quick. Especially if you are a fisherman!
