Chilhowie wins over Marion 13-7 OT. According to all the Marion folks, Canes would whip Chilhowie bad......Warrior Pride is BACK!

Just wondering how many starters Tigers return this year from that great team last year? What the word on the Tigers this year?

What was I thinking.......I left out Honaker of the Division 2 teams to watch. Tigers are unbeaten, 4-0, & State Champs in 2011!

I think the SWD will come down between Abingdon and Carroll Co; I'll give the slight edge to the Falcons.

Chilhowie appears to back on track, defeating Grayson 12-8 the other day. I haven't seen any standings or records for SW teams, but Lebanon, Chilhowie, Va High, & Central may be the strong teams in Div 2. Clintwood and Holston may be the strong ones in Div 1

Grayson Co drilled Chilhowie 10-6 Friday. Region C is going to be very Strong again this year. The Fort also smacked down Floyd Co by about 10 runs!

It only took 5 innings for Chilhowie to pound Marion 10-0 Thursday. Looks like Chilhowie is strong again, but it Is early....

From reading the artcile in the BHC, Chilhowie and Northwood may be SWVA's best shots in Division 2 and 1 this year....

Has anyone heard about some George Wythe players being suspended? I read something on another board, but no details........

Chilhowie will give Grayson their 1st true test of the season. Maybe a close game, with Brett Johnson and Aaron Conley's speed. Grayson thumped Chilhowie last year. May be closer this year...

I would "Guess" that one can't count out Hurley, Thomas Walker Rural Retreat , and maybe Twin Springs.....just my thoughts

i HEARD THAT CHS PULLED THIER 1ST TEAM EARLY, LEADING 34-14, AND MARION SCORED ON CHS WITH THIER 1ST TEAM, IN THE FINAL SECONDS....CHS COULD HAVE SCORED 50. YOU SURE YOU WANT MORE....WITH GW ON YOUR SCHEDULE YOU WILL SEE 50 ON THE BOARD, AND PROBABLY CHS WILL TOO, BY GW...GW MAY BE THE BEST TEAM IN THE STATE, A OR AA.

I lived and worked in Tazewell at one time...............

I was wrong on this one...I went with the Tigers by one point, I think. I still think the Tigers will do very well in their district and improve as the season goes along........Clintwood will do very well also, as expected.

CHS does not put their BEST 11 Players on the field any year, and in the right positions....Maybe they can win more than 3, but if Tazewell handled them, I just can't see them beating GW, Marion, The Fort, Abingdon, Grayson Co, RR and VA High.....just my thoughts.....Maybe I am crazy, but with their schedule which one of the 7 teams I think they will lose to will they beat ????

Chilhowie will be lucky to go 3-7 this year with GW, Marion, Fort Chiswell VA High, Abingdon, Grayson Co, & Rural Retreat to deal with. Their only wins MAYBE will be with Holston, PH & Northwood........otherwise the Warriors are looking at a 0-10 year..................OUCH !!!!!!

Chilhowie lost to Tazewell 21-13 in the Benefit Game.....Looks like Marion will roll next week against the Warriors.....CHS is just too young in the line... Johnson is good, but without a line, he & Conley can't do it all to beat a stronger Marion Team. Wasn't the Dwags 0-10 last year ??? Looks like a long year coming for the Warriors...........

I heard Dwags won 22-13 over Chilhowie....is that right???? I said Tazewell had improved, and Chilhowie was rebuilding.

GW dropped down to D1 this yr, along with Chilhowie. Some on other boards are picking GW to make some BIG noise in the run for the State Title this year. CHS is down, but from what I hear GW is loaded....any opinions????

I'll go with the Tigers, in a close one...I think the State Title in Baseball for the Tigers has carried over some to their attitude and play in Football. Tigers 28 Clintwood 27

Canes will win this year.....28-14. CHS down this year with young line and 6 seniors.
