Ive seen both teams and Clintwood seems to be the scrappier team, but you cant ever and i do mean ever count a win against gatecity untill the final whistle blows. IMO i forsee gatecity winning this game because of depth. Clintwood has good depth but Gatecity's is a little better. Its goin to be a close matchup but the Blue Devils will pull it out in the 4th quarter by 1 touchdown

Looks like that the Bears got back to playing football. They shifted some kids around and made the adjustments needed to win. I hope they can keep it up and make a good run in the playoffs

People have put emphasis on Central beating Union. If that were true in the first three games of the season it would be something to put emphasis on, but Union isnt the same team that played against Lee, Richlands, Lebanon, VHS. Union has fell apart and fast. Clintwood came out of the gate the second half against Union and showed the bears how football is played. So Central beat Union, Im happy for the warriors and it was a big win to them, but dont think that beating the bears will help the warriors win in Dickenson Co friday night. Clintwood will wear down the warriors and win at home like they should. IMO Clintwood wins by 14 or more

Well its as simple as this. I talked with Barry Jones at the Union Gatecity game and he saidthese words, "football is simple. If you can block and tackle then you can win". Union has had some issues with blocking and tackling the past 4 games. If those issues arent addressed hard this week in practice then Burton will walk off with a win at Bullit Park plane and simple.

Evan has really let me down this season. Hes big strong and fast but idk if the neck injury from the wreck last year has him gun shy or what but he dont drive through a block like he should. Your other pics are spot on and Im going to add one to it, Dakota Jesse from Union. He has the mean streak it takes to play ball

Number 5 from Union, Nathan Baker. This kid has some amazing hands, we just dont have a qb to get him the ball. Against Lee, Richlands, and Lebanon we got the ball to him and he showed how good he is. Since those games his stats have went down because Union's qb stares him down and he gets double teams from it. Nathan is talented though. Number 8 from Richlands has good hands and good speed too. I was also impressed with 23 from lebanon but he dont get it thrown his way alot

Im a Union fan (hints the name) but they way my bears have been palying and the way the blue devils is playing il take the devils to win by 14 or more to be honest with yall. Puts me in the mind of watching Thomas Jones with the way he makes kids miss and also Julius jones with the way he runs through the ones he dont juke. Dont get me wrong, he looks tem times faster than anything we have ever seen in these hills but it kinda took me back to watching Thomas and Julius back in the day

JMO but I feel that Mud will give Clintwood a slight advantage. Clintwood's style is up the gut football and muddy fields dont tend to effect between the tackles running. Passing on the other hand isnt as easy in muddy conditions. Its harder to make cuts and catch a muddy ball. IMO Clintwood will win a close game due to running game.

Just my opinion, but i feel like clintwood will win. Im a firm believer in defense wins the game and IMO clintwood has a better defense than burton. JIB is solid on offense but they struggle some on defense against good running backs. Clintwood is tough on d and 11 for the wave IMO is just as fast as any of the JIB backs. I give Clintwood the edge in a close game, lets say 28 to 21 greenwave

I couldnt agree more. If any team from southwest va wins its a victory for the entire area IMO. Im not a fan for JIB but if they make it to state i pull for em. same goes with clintwood, richlands, gatecity, or any team from down this way

Lee has lost the lead in close games late in the 4th quarter against Union, JIB, and Central. Lee can not hold up in the fourth quarter to finish a ball game out. They play hard up untill bout half way through the 4th quarter and then they seem to get a little slower in key areas (such as Defense line). Im not throwing off on Lee just stating facts. Fact is, If Lee high had been a little better conditioned in the 4th quarter against Union then they could have stopped a 4th and 7 run play for a td that they had stopped all night long. I didnt see the JIB and Lee game but it sounded like to me that it was a tight game and Lee just couldnt get in on that last possesion to take the lead, and the same with the Central game. Lee High is honestly no doubt about it just maybe 3 to 4 plays away from being 4 and 1. They are a great team but they have had closing issues. Because of that reason, Clintwood will win handily. CW get stronger as the game goes on and its hard to win in clintwood. 35 to 14 Wave

in my opinion this game wont be close at all. I had Lee picked to win the Clinch Mountain District if they could improve in the 4th quarter, but circumstances have proven me wrong. Lee cant play 4 quarters of football. They can play 3 1/2 but not 4. If Clintwood comes out playing like they did the second half against Union, then the Greenwave will win this game by atleast 3 touchdowns. Graham for Lee is one of the best backs I have seen and size wise Lee matches up against the wave pretty good. The biggest difference between these teams is heart and clintwood shows more heart than Lee. I look for Clintwood to walk the dog against Lee 35 to 14 Greenwave

Lee does NOT have a passing game at all. They are a run only team pretty much.

I guarentee that Graham has the most yards in one game for a country boy haha. Hes an exceptional player.

My hat is off to the greenwave. Coming back from 20 to 0 and win 30 to 26! Union played the first half real well but Clintwood owned the second half! Number 11 is heck of a ball player! He was hard to stop on both sides of the ball. Just as I have said on other posts. That game came down to the last few seconds of the 4th quarter and was well worth 5 bucks. Congrats to the Wave and my hat is off to yall

Graham almost got the state record and still lost! I have to ssay that Lee has really disappointed me on the Defensive side of the ball. Congrats to Central for a high scoring win

My hat is off to the Clintwood Greenwave. Number 11 is one talented ball player and deserves all the credit in the world for that game last night. He is one tough running back and d back. Union got what we needed hopefully. We played the 1st half like football gods, but the second half belong to the greenwave. Hats off to yall.

His daughter "sara" does his nails and helps him with his "guy liner" as well. Poor falconman is caught up in a whirl wind of emotions. "Am I Falconman or am I falcon woman?". Its a hard desicion to make, I hope he/she chooses correctly

as far as Union's passing game, they won all their games on the passing game. 200 plus passing yards against Lebanon, 4th and 7 pass td against VHS two big passes against Lee high for over 50 yards each. Union can pass but running is what they like to do. Clintwood has a typical clintwood style O and D from what i hear, which will make for one hell of a ball game!
