I don't know that much about Twin Springs frankly, and that's a what if anyway, so not fair to say but I have heard they are pretty good as well.

IMO I feel Hurley is better than #9, I would have them at #6, I wouldn't put them above TS just yet. But doesn't Hurley have four losses and all have come to pretty stiff competition. Gate City is the only only SWVA team to beat them, right??? Even with four losses, they are no lower than #6 IMO. Of course, I know you can't really take a whole lot into these rankings anyway, but JMO.

I can speak for the Honaker game but I really didn't have a problem with the starters being in the whole game because to be honest I felt the score was somewhat misleading as to how the game went. As far as the sportmanship, I look from the stands so that's all I see and I mentioned this in another thread but the team as a whole showed fine sportmanship (minus one player with the cheap shots and arrogant attitude but I won't say which one out of respect for the kid) and the fans were very welcoming and respectful. Hope Galax does well and I too hope to see an all-west final!!!

Really though other than the one guy makin a few poor choices the rest of the team seemed to play with class i would say! And they did shake hands im pretty sure all went thru the line. I would think that the ejection of a teammate last week that he would think about stuff like that but some people jus never learn but he didnt get caught so ... i jus dont like to see that as i said before and i would be the first to complain if a player on my team played like that ... and other than those select cheapies the young man had a good ballgame, just needs to let his good game do the talkin, for me the cheapies overshadowed his good game!

They announced after the game that Galax was the western section champion but there is no section champion ...i look at it like this ..they got a trophy for being the #1 seed and being able to host semifinal game! Finalist trophy does makes sense ...

Congrats Honaker on a great season. Truly has been a pleasure listening and watching you guys play this year and improve as the season went. Guys we just ran into a better team tonight. They shut down the run game and we didnt capitalize when we had chances and made a few uncharacteristic mistakes which we could not do when playing a team like this. Enjoyed my trip to Galax (small stands but we packed it in like sardines and stayed warm). Overall great sportmanship by both teams but there was one gentleman who took 3 cheap shots for Galax and I dont like to see that, no need for it but thanks to those fans who welcomed us in and showed great hospitality. Congrats Maroon Tide and good luck the rest of the way, you guys have a good football team, get out and support em!!!

As said before in former threads, Abingdon would be a huge loser if RHS,THS, and MSHS did drop... As far as GW-Danville goes, the entire southside there has been hit hard by industry loss, it's a very sad situation, as SWVA knows all too well!!!
