I do P.A. at Bluefield games. Come by anytime. Bluefield gave you more points this year than any 2A school except Union and that was the same. Both schools were 10-0.

We will loose so many good players this Spring and I'm not sure about our propects are for next year . PLUS -We may loose our Coach as He has hinted at retirement -comparable to Gainer leaving Bluefield ,or Carlock leaving Graham. You guys came out good with Chmara ,but Graham not so well-althought I know and had no issues with DM.
If we do play next years I can only hope you guys loose a few studs as well .
The only school that would not play due to the perception of officiating was Richlands. I understand the officials in 2002 were very rude and made calls Richlands didn't like. We chose to schedule those games because our own local WV schools would not play. Since then other schools farther away in WV will play and it is not a problem.
RHS players and BHS Players have never had an sportsmanship issue and neither should we. We can still be friends -I would like to meet you at a game if we continue to play next year. I think the contract will have to be renewed for us to continue to meet on the gridiron. The real problem may be that point wise RHS may get more points by playing Va Schools in our classification.
Retired VHSL officials. The explanation was a mix up and the approved crew couldn't show. Bluefield player was ejected during an extra point.

truth is i that particular game it was one of the few times we didn't need biased officiating to win the game.
My initial post on this matter was from me, Not RHS.
In my opinion biased officiating in favor of Bluefield led to your school having to beg for games. Remember the trips you had to make to NC and then I'm not sure that you had 10 regular season games those years.
I realize that most of on this forum are offended when we see a negative comment about our school or team.
This from a school that did not have qualified officials show up at the last game vs. Bluefield and called their retired friends in to officiate. Ejecting a player for cursing when he was kicked in the groin. Clean your own house before pointing fingers.
Whatgame are you referring to? Last year when we played Bluefield at Ernie the Zebras were there well before game time and they looked legit. VHSL Patches etc. If a Bluefield player was ejected I didn't see it occur.
That escalated quickly.. You get busy for a couple days and come back to this chaos.

One negative -The Bluefield Beavers . No problem with their players ,but it is hard to beat them and the Zebras. I hope The Blues schedule Ridge View, Lee or any other Va team -not that it would be an easier schedule just more likely to get unbiased officiating.

Tennessee, Florida, Bama, Auburn, Georgia, LSU. Georgia, Auburn, and Tennessee have a combine 1 each, with LSU, Florida, and Bama being the true beats. The SEC is still the best conference in my opinion, but the first 8 team I listed are not better programs than Virginia Tech, and one could argue VT is on the level of Tennessee and Auburn right now. What I'm saying is....VT is still likely a better program than 10 of the 16 SEC schools, and maybe, maybe...12 of the 16 SEC schools at this point in time. Therefore, if VT is a true wannabe, so are 10-12 other SEC schools. He can certainly make the NFL (be noticed and drafted and national TV exposure) by playing at Virginia Tech.

I appreciate that! I'm very passionate about football, especially when my son is playing, but so many people forget that it really is just a game and these are kids. My son is a LB/RB and he has been taught to play the game as hard as he can, but he's also been taught to respect his opponent and respect the game. Sportsmanship is a huge part of the game.
I would love to see a rematch between the Cats and Blues. That was a heck of a defensive game. It will be tough for both of us to get there. We have to try to beat a team for the 2nd time in 3 weeks and you guys have to try and win in a place that has been very difficult to even stay close with the home team much less win, lately.
We're both the underdogs, but I'm going to go out on a limb and call an upset in both games.
Hell of a game Blues! You guys have a very stout Defense. My kid said that y'all were very physical. Much respect to the Richlands players and coaches coming up to my son after the game and telling him how good he is, while he and I were talking on the field. I love seeing the sportsmanship!

The only thing in doubt here is what is the over/under on when Richlands fans start to cry about the officiating. My guess, is midway through the second quarter. Despite losing to Bluefield, Graham is more talented. Graham wins this game easily. Anywhere from three to four touchdowns
