I want to first give a big thanks to Union_fan. Me and Ryan were the beneficiaries of great seats at the game thanks to him and his family. Really enjoyed there kindness and the great game. Also got to meet Unions_ Hammer and he was a great guy. The call before half on the punt was a back breaker. Truly a terrible call. Unions fight in the second half was just awesome. Then the crowd got really pumped and it was as loud of an atmosphere as you will ever hear at a High School football game. I agree with the other post on the play of Appos defensive tackles in the first half. They were quick and good tacklers. Union did a great job in the second half and really dominated from the seconds half on. Appos speed and tackling was impressive. The difference in the game was the call before half and the special teams on return coverage. Also Owens missing the catch where Mitchell dropped it right in his hands. Great game to watch. Great fans and perfect weather. I just wish the final score was different. I wrung my cowbell so much I have three blisters on my fingers...lol. Thanks again Union_fan and Unions_hammer. We had a great time

In a game like this I still think it come down to the old saying... turnovers and penalties. The winner of this battle wins. These are the games I love. Two great teams playing for the right to move on and represent SWVA.

I agree. The winner of this game should get it. Both Turner and Palmer are deserving. Both have done a great job in my view.

Bigwinners...this was a great post and a very fair assessment in my view. I know both teams very well and agree with you. I do think some Union posters just simply don't give Graham the respect they deserve. You can't teach SPEED! Graham has more overall athletes that can fly and very physical. I think the physicality and discipline on defense has been Graham's biggest improvement from recent years...and O yeah...did I say speed. They have it. I think Unions ability to get to Allen quickly will be the key. Allen can sling the football. He was more accurate with his receiver's than I expected. Plus he can run. Much smarter and very tough than people think. I give Union the edge only because of home field advantage. Union no question has the advantage up front. Graham in my view has the better athlete's even though Union has many. I respect Union and there great fans who I have enjoyed meeting and watching. I just don't think some realize how good Graham is. I expect a very close game...but as crazy as it sounds I wouldn't be shocked if either team won by a couple of touchdowns. I'm excited to see this one. Good luck to both teams but I will be pulling for our County neighbors.

Good for him. Absolutely nothing wrong with that. Wanted to say to the Union team, Coaches and fans. GREAT game! I was really thinking with three minutes to go that we might just pull it out. Then Big time players make Big time plays when it has to happen. I was heart broken but not shocked when Mitchell done his thing. Very impressed and happy to see the Union players consoling our young men after the game. Everything was left on the field by both teams and the better team won. Good luck moving forward. You guys have earned it.

I have seen both Union and Graham play. I don't think by any means Union is three scores better. Two very different teams in my view. Graham has the athlete's to compete with and beat Union or anybody else in the West. I don't know enough about the East to compare them. I would love to see a Union versus Graham game. I think it would be a great battle. I would be pulling for the GMen.

He is a fine young man. His health is way more important period.
