Akers record at Rural Retreat 5-6 and 8-4, whether or not he is a good coach, problems at fort started when a certain principal making a bad hire in April of 2014. That was the start. The problem with that hire was also that it was hard to get anyone to coach for him. So you had to bring some assistants in that had to help that are still there and maybe shouldn’t be. I doubt that a coach that was just hired will be let go unless he wants to be gone. I will say again first game of the season on offense 4 sophomores starting on o-line, one junior and 3 wr’s that didn’t play football last year and still won. 8 players that didn’t play on varsity year before and jv has been pretty much non-existent since 2013. I think the principal now is trying to solve these issues. It was the 4th year before James started turning things around.

Thought it would be close, fort lost 2 of best players in auburn game.

Watched some film on rye cove running single wing, if they had a game under their belt like they should have had. I think rye cove will be better than last year
-
Watched fort chiswell, zero seniors starting on offense and 11 players not starting their position from last year(some not even playing football last year) and winning with 4 starters on each side out until this week. Only 4 returning starters on defense.
-
Fort chiswell 15 RR 14 final
-
The last 2 yearsJIB lacked experienced size that they have this year. QB play as stated above.
-
saw them play Fort, Fort only 3 starters returning on offense and defense. Only 3 seniors and 2 didn't play last year. I agree JB has a very good defense though.

How did Honaker look. I know Chilhowie lost so much from last year. Preseason but score surprising. I was hoping Honaker would be better.
