Slobberknocker. Union's 7 point victory over Central last night won't get it done against this bunch. Sam "Rock You Like A Hurricane" Wagner will account for all 3 Marion scores as the Canes win 21-10.
Northwood cannot throw the football or defend it for that matter. They may be a 1 and done in the playoffs. I watched the game last night and I thought NW was a big team but they can only run the football. The lack of kicking game also hurts the Panthers. If NW would of been able to put points on the board on that first drive it might of been a different story. I was more impressed with #9 and #2 for NW than I was with Olinger. NW works really slow and they eat too much clock. The first half last night had 3 combined offensive possessions. If NW gets behind more than 7 early in the 4th quarter I don't see them having enough time to come back.
If you want to talk about disturbance, Gate City is the king. They are the Loudest bunch of rednecks with the loudest cowbells and airhorns I've ever heard. We couldn't even hear the cheerleaders or band over those things.
I think Haysi has a great chance. I predict Northwood to lose this week and Honaker and Clintwood will be a good one if the weather clears. If the weather doesn't clear Honaker should take it by 2 scores.
Marion won't be mentioned until they play someone (Union) depending on how well that goes for the Canes. Beating 1A schools week in and out hasn't surprised me yet. I also thought all the Tazewell hype was overrated after watching them week 1.
