  1. Which amply demonstrates the talent at Lee is not at all time low....if one mentioned and his cousin who belong at Lee were lining up in Red tonight we wouldn't be having a discussion about PH game. Even if Pee Wee Herman was coaching Lee. Lee normal numbers are in half so expect there are athletes walking halls choosing not to play because there parents cant move them to Union, Gate City , Thomas Walker. Not sure talent is an issue at Lee.
  2. Forget who played....can anyone shed light on a "upside" for this pick considering they had over 10 applicants? Teaches advanced biology?? French?? Daddy owns a coal mine and gonna fix track and install turf?? Gotta be something there.
  3. Sorry mom...just looking for someone to argue with and thought I had Leatherface blood pumping enough to jump in the fray. Next time I'll start before the game then maybe I can get a bet together and buy Larry and his friends some hotdogs when their one player outplays ours. Actually I thought I saw several promising looking players on GC squad...couple decent lineman, linebacker and big tall receiver that ran his routes well.( Wait....both his parents are from Lee county so strike that one) I'll let it go till next year when I have to watch GC give us another whipping as their tennis player out coaches us once again. Till then Larry can go by Pal's and get him a Chipped Ham and some Frenchie fries and send the bill to me at: Use to getting my butt kicked,C/0 Happy to have some company, Lee County VA 66666
  4. . You one went there Larry... without Rasnic Lee doesn't have anything.Doesnt have anything equal has nothing, cant make a play, cant complete pass, cant make a tackle, cant gain a yard.T he players suck. According to you same at GC and everyone knows it. Without Collier you never move from your tracks...even though he's not capable of being a true passer......and you guys are not offended by it. Guess you got used to it since Lee County Players have carried you for past 6-7 years. Thankfully Collier had another Lee County player to throw to this year. I'm sure your new coach will get all the student body involved going forward and that home grown Scott County talent will come shining thru.
  5. Been alot of folks including some of your coaches who have said they would love to have Lee players to work with and Rasnic was not in conversation. Thought there were several lineman that had huge upside...some young backs that showed lots of promise and some really good reciever/Db prospects. Just don't understand how they don't play better. Maybe Rasnic was only thing on field whole night with game plan coaches brought to field. You are probably correct....keep telling your remaining GC players they suck and Collier all you got and see how next year turns out for ya. Who knows....maybe we can send another Lee County product to bail you out.
  6. Lee makes changes .....real ballgame. Talent is there. Hopefully they can put it together Friday night.
  7. If your main offense is a spread...QB gets shotgun snap....two receivers split each side...one yard gaps in your line...Qb runs for life as soon as he gets ball and tackled for loss.... I can see where that goes into box as a run. As has been the norm at Lee most fans are really not sure what they have been attempting to accomplish.....run, pass or implode.
  8. This ones funny...West must be one of the coaches. That's only folks I hear talking down Lee's talent year after year. Guess if he's right then the TW game will finally be competitive. Course Beamer may be more on....be different team without the the seniors especially LB and two lineman but take look at freshman lineman coming up and then factor the sophomore (3) DB's and receivers, with the (2) Junior lineman and the two best athletes on team at QB/receiver-RB slash DB returning. Two returning sophmore RB/LB who are getting playing time. Surely there will be enough talent to keep competing in the Cumberland District.
  9. 1. Richlands 2. Bluefield 3.Abingdon 4. Graham 5.Lee 6. Union 7. George Wythe 8.Giles 9.Galax 10.Pulaski
  10. 1. Richlands 2. Abingdon 3. Giles 4. Graham 5. Lee 6. Union 7. Gate City 8. Wise 9. Va High 10. Ridgeview
  11. Please people.... there is no Jonesville/ Pennington any longer if there ever was. That was 26 years ago and todays kids don't know or care. If there are fights now in school its over Little Susie or someones cell phone. Demographics of Lee county are not a factor as the Pennington folks who are not walking streets and doing meth now live in Jonesville, Jonesville folks who are not dead now live in western end...St Charles and Stone Creek have all moved to Woodway or Dryden...Stickleyville only had few athletes (granted good ones) but they see visions of grandeur and transfer to GC to bail out their usual lack of talent then come limping back home. Team two years ago won 9 games (albeit a schedule the school for deaf dumb and blind could have dominated) and they were led by two Penn and two Jonesville athletes who were best of friends and still are. Right athletes held back at right time spelled some success and even coaches Lee had in place couldn't screw up and should have added an undefeated season to the mix. Had their linebacker not been awol they would have been undefeated and even the coaches couldn't have prevented it. Looking around area and considering strength of schedule I would say Lee makes a run again this year. Three lineman back that have ability to dominate (Jonesville, Penn, Stone Creek) and several new comers that will make line strength of program for years to come. QB (son of a cross between Penn QB and Jonesville Cheerleader who lives in Jonesville) who has pedigree, frame and showed potential to be a stud. Two running backs (fresh and sophomore) who both toyed with breaking Tyler Grahams middle school marks and one of who has as much genetics to be a big time player as any one could design.Throw in another rising Junior RB that played with such aggression and physicality on both sides of ball he had St Charles running from his eye sockets (Still not figured why he was never on field last year) Throw in the all region all state 4 year starter at LB/RB that if he demonstrates a fraction of the ability he displayed when wearing a pitch fork on his helmet with his maturity and size will dominate both sides of the ball. I'm not sure any Coach will be able to mess this one up either. Penn/Jonesville controversy??? New head coach is as inbred a Bobcat as you could produce that was hired by a School Board Chairman that sucked a Bulldog teat till he graduated.
  12. Messed up?? Guess that's your retort when you can't bring any pertinent info to discussion. Resort to ....must be your kid playing beside him. Must be disgruntled GCfan. Was hoping someone would discuss the lack of performance this year by players and team as whole. Did coaches fail to put kids in position to become MVP? Did kids get lazy and not respond to instruction? I can go along with MVP last year and maybe year before but based on 2015 bestb i can support is second place in Cumberland District. Boy from Norton shut Lee down and has been impact player for their team all year. Otherwise Lee dominated Cumberland.
  13. Didn't mean to insult your kid Beam...just don't think we've seen a MVP season. Maybe the Cluesman kid or Haynes last year you could make argument. Wins against TW, Leb,ES,Battle combined with giving up 28 to Norton, 35 to Union, 48 GC, 56 Central and then 43 Va High does not a MVP consideration make. Add in a questionable call where a fullback obviously scored up the middle against Ridegeview. MVP keep you in games even if you lose.
  14. Individual highlights of brief moments in games picked by parent or player. Need to watch full game to make assessment. Ind or team stats....yea..someone gotta get credit for a tackle even if your giving up 500 plus yards.
