Hacker 82 Report Share Posted November 10, 2006 That was dominating performance by their defense in the second half. I just looked at the stats to see how dominant the defense was. Louisville had all of 60 yards of total offense after 4:51 to go in the 2nd. They just flat out stuffed the Louisville offense. What a job Schiano has done at a traditionally morbid program. dcecilgolf 11 Report Share Posted November 10, 2006 Do the Scarlet Knights have a chance at the BCS title game if they win out? It looks as though even if they go undefeated, they will miss out, eg Auburn. It seems RU winning out would be another step towards a playoff for D 1-A football. BigD4VT 11 Report Share Posted November 10, 2006 They're too far down at #14. Best they can hope for is to win the Big East and get a BCS bid. I'm sure they would be quite happy with that though.

old_school_blue 247 Report Share Posted November 10, 2006 You never know. If Rutgers can stay undefeated the next two games. It sets up a big showdown vs. WV. Gotta pull for those Knights now. I love an underdog. I see Rutgers breaking in the top ten next week.

bluefieldRocks 14 Report Share Posted November 10, 2006 If WVU wins out, they'll get a share of the big east title, and play in a BCS bowl game
Sources 10 Report Share Posted November 10, 2006 Can someone explain how this would work if WVU beats Rutgers, thus meaning a three way tie for the BE title? How would they decide who gets the BE's BCS bowl?

bluefieldRocks 14 Report Share Posted November 10, 2006 That is correct, if its a tie, whoever has the higer BCS ranking would go to a BCS bowl game. and like i mentioned earlier, If WVU wins out, there is no chance Rutgers or Louisville could have even a slim chance to sneak past them
BigD4VT 11 Report Share Posted November 10, 2006 Rutgers is in the drivers seat. They keep playing defense like they did last night they won't have anything to worry about. Greg Schiano will be one hot name this December. I almost wish it was time for Beamer to retire just so they could go after him.

bluefieldRocks 14 Report Share Posted November 10, 2006 If WVU wins out, they'll be in the drivers seat. Nobody could touch them. However if they lose to Rutgers, say hello to the gator bowl But i think that game since its at home for WVU, and i'll be attending. Then we should come out with a win
BigD4VT 11 Report Share Posted November 10, 2006 Good point. It will be hard for Rutgers to beat WVU in Morgantown. The fans in Piscataway had a lot to do with the outcome last night. I loved watching Rutgers though. They remind me of VT in the early/mid 90's.
bluefieldRocks 14 Report Share Posted November 10, 2006 they mix up the run and the pass so much. Its truly fun to watch them play. There Defense is Stout. It will be an intresting matchup with our Quick strike offense and there tough Defense

bluefieldRocks 14 Report Share Posted November 10, 2006 good point GMan, we have to play 1 game at a time. But with our rushing attack i see no probplems I read on rivals that coach rod took out 9 starters on Defense and started from scratch, we'll see how that worked out tommorow at noon
GoldenTrojan 10 Report Share Posted November 11, 2006 i would rather see the BCS go to a Playoff scenerio kinda like High School and Pros. That would be alot more fun to watch. hahaha
