Section 1233 of the health care bill, HR 3200, requires “death with dignity” aka euthanasia visits every 5 years for the elderly! According to the program you could become elderly as young as 50! CARAVAN-PROTEST Obama will be in Bristol this Wednesday at 4:00 a caravan of SWVA protesters will be departing that morning, time AND location will be determined this evening, anybody want to go, drop me a line. Could you please elaborate what you would have to do every 5 years after 50? thanks Basically, every five years you would have a REQUIRED visit with your doctor or health care specialist to discuss the possibilities of Euthanasia. It would be a routine conference that would take into consideration your current health status and the burden that you are to the system. The medical treatment that one would need or require as they got older would be rationed and therefore, the older you get the LESS COVERAGE YOU GET. Don't get me wrong, you would receive medication, just not procedures such as surgery. For example if you broke your hip, fuhgetttaboutit, it ain't happenin' if you are a non "productive citizen." Intererestingly enough, it is the government that decides that you are non-productive, regardless of how good of a worker you might be......you don't meet their standards. The prime age for Universal Health Care are the ages of 15 to 40 these will be considered your "productive years" and the best ages to receive treatments with the highest rate of a healthy recovery. The younger you are and the older you are the types of treatment and coverage that you would be entitled to would be limited. Understand, that the limits that I am talking about will only take place if there is a need to RATION that particular treatment, surgery, rehab etc. For example if there is a huge demand for MRI's, then those in the age group 15-40 would receive priority over someone younger or older. This type of health care is called the "complete lives system." It is similar to programs used in socialist Europe as well not too mention something that I heard about in Germany about 70 or 80 years ago.........forgot who did it..........the name is on the tip of my............. Are you all for putting your dad to sleep with he's 60? It seems the bigger point is their radical and extreme agenda can't be denied anymore and whether they're able to pass some of them or not people can't deny what type of administration was elected. But to be more specific, the stimulus has gone down in flames, the deficit has gone up in flames and a few more of these types of items passed, health care or cap and trade and this country will be going down in flames. Sorry bud. You couldnt be further from the truth. Sure, just saying "told you so" is not much, but this board is an educational tool, and I urge you to read and learn. Lets just say we talk about National Healthcare. Obama says: A: HC will be cheaper in the future Doubtful. According to the CBO (Congressional Budget Office), who are not biased, we will pay more now and later. However Obama with his smooth reading from the teleprompter, may have you believed otherwise. B: We all will have coverage, and 1 in 6 dont have coverage now. This is really splitting hairs. Sure, 1 in 6 may not have coverage, but EVERYONE receives treatment. If you go to the ER, you will receive treatment by LAW. If you cant pay, the Hospital has insurance to help them out. So really, its not like patients are refused. (Unless you are the First Lady and her ties to patient dumping) C: The quality of care wont go down The biggest joke of all. Ask anyone who lives in GB or Canada if they like their system. You can get a pet into the vet for xrays way faster than a person. Everything is monitored by the goverment. Every record you have is looked at by the Gov and decided if you need treatment in major cases. This is so unfair and takes away so much from HC, that politicians are exempt from the current bill. All doctors will take a paycut, and they then have no reason to stay, or will open private practices. So unless you are loaded, forget about seeing the best doctor to save you or your family's life. Doctors also will have no less coverage on lawsuits, which is the major problem in the first place in my opinion. Obama has missed out on Tort and reform D: The tax burden will be held by the upper class. Ill keep this short and sweet. More taxes on the upper class, less jobs and raises due to them having to pay more taxes. Even so, the CBO claims the middle class must be taxed in order to recieve the funds. There goes Obama's promise on no taxes on anyone less than 250,000 I hope you have made it this far EH31. I dont know what you have learned, nor what party you support, but I hope you see the contrast. Everyone will agree that most news stations are one sided. If you want the truth you have to seek it. We; Buzzsaw, JJ, UVAob., BucFan, Hokie, BHS7695 all put it out there for you on the conservative/libertarian side. We want to let everyone who reads this message board know what is going on in our great Country. Let it be known that this is not the only place we discuss our politics. It all adds up, and if the latest elections have showed anything, every vote counts, (even the illegal ones in Minnesota). If you do nothing else, check us on our claims. Do some research. Dont just say woe is me and go away. The sad thing about our goverment is that an informed vote holds the same weight as a clueless vote. The only way to settle the score is to make the uninformed, informed and vote, or at least consider to vote your way. I hope you understand that now. I don't think anyone from Washington gets on here and reads what we type, but if the president continues down this road toward Fascism they probably will start........ Furthermore, I don't rant on here to inform Washington, they already know that they are crooks, I am doing just as Beavertail said, trying to inform others........... There is one thing that is sure........regardless of what anyone, especially the uninformed, may say, the TRUTH will stand..........Obama is literally destroying the United States of America and he is doing exactly what he said he would do, FUNDAMENTALLY TRANSFORM our country.. Cap and trade would be enough to solidify it in the mind of a reasonably prudent person. But for me, it was when he even lent credence to the position that my parents should have a talk with a doctor every 5 years with regards to euthanasia. I cannot state on this forum how ignorant and asinine this policy is, because I would be instantly and justifiably banned. And well said above, BTail.
