Right now, I'm going with 4"-6" in the Bluefield area...will update my prediction tomorrow...

 

Current forecast model shows L moving well south of us and off the coast fairly rapidly...but this looks exactly like the first model of the December storm...

It's the reason I'm not driving to see my fiancee in Lynchburg this weekend.

She got upset at me, but I'm not risking it. 5''-14'' forecast for there, depending on the track.

 

Would Amtrak be an option? You have to keep peace with the lady.

storm is getting put together pretty well..much better than i thought and the gulf has opened up a little bit...track still iffy but with right track blfd could see between 8-12 inches...but slightest variation snow will got down to 3-6 area...but 8-12 looking good as of this morning.
