VivaFutbol 10 Author Report Share Posted July 13, 2011 So I got the game yesterday, and I absolutely love it. I skipped '11 because I wasn't impressed with '10 and thought I would give it a year. I still played '11 a bit and this game almost makes '11 unplayable. The tackling mechanism is so much better than past versions. Gone are the days of just hit sticking your opponent, unless you wanna get juked out of your cleats. Road to Glory is also revamped and the recruiting adds there are also a nice touch. I haven't touched Dynasty yet until a good group of rosters come out. I still haven't found the right sliders yet for this game. All American on default is too easy and Heisman is too hard. So if you guys are in the same boat and play with sliders and find a pair, feel free to post them. I'll post mine as well when I find a pair that I like. I lost my first ranked online game 21-20. He was Ohio State and I was Virginia Tech. Of course he just ran around with Pryor and Boom Herron. I couldn't get anything going through the air, but David Wilson carried me on the ground. VivaFutbol 10 Author Report Share Posted July 13, 2011 I think I just broke someone's TV. I'm playing online and it's me (VT) vs him (USC-E). I go down 22-0 at half. I get two quick pick-6s and bring it back to 22-14. He gets two more scores with the last being at 2:15 left in the 4th to make it 36-14. David Wilson comes alive and brings me back to a very darkhorse shot at getting back in it with a 49 yard run with 1:24 left. I get the onside kick and throw a long ball to Boykin and he gets wrestled down at the 4. Wilson punches it in to make it 36-28 with 1:03. I don't get the onside kick, but I have all 3 time outs and I make him lose about 10 yards in the process. I bring the house on the punt and miss it, but it goes into the endzone for a touch back. So I have about 49 seconds to drive 80 yards to get the TD. I manage to get to 4th and 1 from the 29 with 25 seconds left. I think, "let's get the first down and spike it too salvage some time" (note: Logan Thomas went down hurt on the 3rd down play). So I run it with Wilson and he breaks it for 71 yards for a score making it 36-34 with 14 seconds left. I get the two point conversion and we are off to OT (still Thomas hurt). He gets the ball first, and finds the endzone in a few plays and makes it 43-36. I get down to the 5 on a 3rd and 10 after a JuJu Clayton scramble. I run it 4 times into the endzone with Wilson and get the TD on 4th and Goal from the 5. So with Thomas still out, I think I need to win it here and go for two so I call a time out to get Wilson a quick breather and then notice LT is back in, so I still go for it and call a load option. Thomas keeps it for the conversion 44-43 final. Best game I've ever played. Stats: Thomas 5-16 / 107 yards / 4 INT :p Wilson 12 att / 158 yards / 4 TDs
deuceswild 15 Report Share Posted July 13, 2011 Nice. When I read the first line, I imagined you teleported a Wii controller through someone's Plasma. I've been on the receiving end of that one before. Sounds like a good game and your walk-through description was on the money. I hope Thomas isn't that injury prone in real life though. VivaFutbol 10 Author Report Share Posted July 15, 2011 I've been using these until a guy named skyflame21 gets his out. They will be edited more than the names such as transfers, position changes, skills, skin color, ect. Also, I find it nearly impossible to play on Heisman and way too easy to play on AA. I still haven't found a good slider set? Heisman would be alright if I could get more than 1 second of pocket time to throw the ball. Any use sliders that they like? Deleted Account 5,203 Report Share Posted July 15, 2011 Penn State is a load on 2011. I've had some good memories with them with games like that... but the best game i ever played was when i was Arkansas State(random but they are actually pretty damn good) against WVU and won in 5OT :p My two best games were on Madden. One, I had a friend who was a glutton for punishment. Everyone knows about Madden 2004 with Mike Vick, and I could make Mike Vick do impossible things on that game. My friend had lost 20 straight times, and got to a point where he would wait on me when I got back from class to play. One game, he was leading in the 4th, 35-30, with 2:00 to go. On a 4th-and-6, I run a HB Flare, pretty much a glorified bootleg. Friend plays a Quarter, using a LB as a spy. WRs were completely covered. I had to spin to avoid a DE, he's bringing the LB. The LB dives, I backpedal with Vick, the LB is sprawled out on the ground, then I jump over the LB and gain 15 yards on the run. With 8 seconds left, I bootleg Vick into the end zone. After the 2-pointer, it's 38-35. Ballgame. Two, I had another friend who was 169-0 in Madden 2007. He always played as the Redskins, and he didn't use advanced rosters. Simply put, DUDE WAS A MACHINE. I finally got time to sit and play him. I use Philadelphia, he uses Washington. Absolutely nothing went right for him. He threw FIVE INTs, and I scored every single possession. I converted something like 13-15 on 3rd down, and 2-2 on 4ths (I always go for it, 4th-and-2 or less). To his credit, he took the loss like a man. 44-6, and he was 169-1 after that.

I played my cousin with the redskins once, (every time we play its a big offensive struggle, atleast 50+ points scored on both sides) and i think it was 56-56 with about 5 seconds left, and i'm pretty sure we were playing like madden 09 on the PS2. I threw it as far as i could with Mcnabb down the field to one of those no-name receivers and he bobbles it for like 5 yards down the field and some how comes down with it and then outruns the defender into the endzone. I hate the Redskins, but that was a good game.. haha. You usually get some pretty memorable games with the worse teams... I usually don't even go online on NCAA 11 because the only people play as are Ohio State and Alabama. But i romped some guy that was being O State with Michigan. EH31 2,518 Report Share Posted July 15, 2011 The best game I ever had played was on March Madness 07, I had Memphis and a buddy Picked Duke. Wewent back and forth through the whole game and went to OT at 97-97. I had a couple of guards foul out and had to play with mostly forwards. He still had everyone in the game. We played through the first OT and was tied up again and everyone of my guards had fouled out, and 1 minute into the 2nd OT my only SF fouled out. So I had to play with my lineup as C,C,C,PF,PF, while he still had his whole starting lineup, including Josh Mcroberts who was a beast on that game and ended up with 132 points. It was tied up again with 15 seconds to go and he went on a fast break with mcroberts and tried to dunk and I took a charge and he fouled out. I held onto the ball & ran a 3 point play accidently (forgetting i didn't have any guards in the game) With about 3 secs left and passed to a PF on the wing and he swished a 3 pointer and i won 208-205. Definitely the craziest game I ever played. I had 5 players with 30+ points & 1 with 40+. & He only had 2 players in double figure scoring lol

deuceswild 15 Report Share Posted July 16, 2011 You no likey? Its not worth the money. I would've paid $10 for the updates the game has from last year, not $60. I might give it another shot, but its probably the most overrated entertainment piece since any Seth Rogan movie.

deuceswild 15 Report Share Posted July 18, 2011 For what console? 360. I'm going to try to give it another chance. I played it more today and I still hate it but I took the time to import as many local created high school teams as possible. (Just about every school in Region C, D, and IV were on there.) If I can find a way to incorporate those teams to be fun for myself, I might keep it. It only lets you load 12 teambuilder teams into your dynasty...I have 56 teams. So thats no fun. Passing on the game is ridiculous. LB's can still jump 16 feet in the air. Your QBs don't respond to your commands quick enough. When QB's shed a tackle in the backfield they set back up to throw again which is frustrating if you're trying to book it. Graphics are better but the grass looks like cell shading on an N64 game. Did I say the passing game was ridiculous? I even dropped the AI of the CPU pass coverage down to 10 and dropped the playing level down to Varsity and it's still stupid. Receivers rarely create separation and DBs respond so quickly to passes that throwing to open receiver is almost moot. I honestly liked last year's version much, much better. I'll keep you updated though, UVAO. Sorry for the premature, perhaps false advertisement. The game had been giving me the run around all night and I was ready to part with it. And I still might. I don't have 360, anyway. ;). Still holding onto my PS3. Overpowered defenses are why I stopped buying the franchise. EA did a massive overhaul of the SIM engine in 2008, and it's been much too defense-heavy ever since. It was virtually impossible to run in 2008, not much better in 2009, and impossible to pass in 2010. 2010 was the last one I bought. It's obvious to me that EA Sports has the NCAA SIM engine where they want it, it doesn't matter what we say. They just won't get my money. deuceswild 15 Report Share Posted July 18, 2011 I prefer the PS3 versions of the game anyway. Graphically they're better. And I find the gameplay to be a little smoother on the PS3 but... none of my friends have a PS3. So...when I get multiplayer games, ..
