tjhokies 47 Report Share Posted October 12, 2012 I've heard about some serious "problems" at Richlands with some players and parents. Just curious if anyone has some info. Mostly things just getting blown out of proportion. The few problems are kids and parents that think they should have their name in the paper on Saturdays scoring TDs. Some forget the word 'team'. That can happen win a team wins so long and people start to get a little more arrogant

Guest king kone Report Share Posted October 12, 2012 i think its a little more of the opposite actually...You have some parents who want to coach...how can you criticize a player with 14 TD's...and you have some players who are afraid of contact...if you are blocking right there will be no paint on the front of your helmet...look around and see who is blocking....look at the helmets... Rhschamps04 15 Report Share Posted October 12, 2012 Richlands has the talent to be as good as in years passed the thing that makes this team to appear down this year over years past is the fact that the teams in years past played together as a TEAM this one is a group of individuals each out for what is best for them. The biggest problem with this team is lack of leadership!

Actually most of these newer helmets are molded plastic. They are not painted. So if they are missing paint, then they are probably helmets from the 80's. Hacker 82 Report Share Posted October 12, 2012 So since the name on the front of the jersey is more important than the name on the back, maybe it's time to take the players names off the jerseys.

They recondition the inside of the headgear to make sure that it comes up to code and that the outside integrity has not been compromised. In the old days that included painting. Now that they are molded plastic, painting is no longer required.

barondawg77 115 Report Share Posted October 12, 2012 Transfer of plastic. And you can't go by paint being missing from the front of your helmet anymore. Good lineman use their hands, especially in the spread style of offense that Richlands has been using. Yes, they still use their heads some, but not like us old guys use to. BlueRazor 1,147 Report Share Posted October 12, 2012 Richlands football players wear the best helmets money can buy. They are Riddell Speed Revolution helmets just like a majority of NFL players. Yes they are painted and repainted after every season. They just changed last year to a metal flake navy blue last year. You are fight some dont have many scratches but some are all to pieces with battle scars. Jared Suanders helmet is a wreck and Hortons, Mcglothlins, Taylors and Coltens are not far behind.
