Bearcat Bob 491 Report Share Posted December 29, 2015 Since Denver locked up a playoff spot last night, do they stay with Osweiler? My hope is they do; they make the Super Bowl; Peyton enters in the 2nd half and leads the Broncos to a come from behind victory in the Superbowl; immediately announces his retirement and starts his coaching career at UT. Hokiebird7 1,416 Report Share Posted December 29, 2015 I start Osweller because he is the better QB right now....bottom line is so far he hasn't turned the ball over and Manning was turning it over about every other throw. Time to see what the kid can do in the playoffs cause Manning has proved with his playoff record he isn't the same QB that he is in the regular season....time for Peyton to hang it up, he is done IMO
Ryan4VT 4,557 Report Share Posted December 29, 2015 Saw some interesting theories on Twitter that the Broncos should trade Manning to the Colts today so Peyton can come back to beat Tennessee one last time then retire a Colt. I chuckled. Good imagination, though. Bearcat Bob
Bearcat Bob 491 Author Report Share Posted December 30, 2015 Manning is a class act. I just hate to see him "hobble" out of the game. I am just hoping for something good for him then a graceful retirement...as a Colt if possible. Ryan4VT and cowboysnskynyrd
Ryan4VT 4,557 Report Share Posted December 30, 2015 I be love when he's done he will be signed to a one day contract in Indy so he can retire a Colt. We've done that with a few of the big names from that era that let (Saturday and Clark). cowboysnskynyrd
1inStripes 933 Report Share Posted December 30, 2015 Osweiler fits what Kubiak wants to do better. Im surprised Elway didnt try to move Peyton away from Denver when he hired Kubiak. Peytons injuries were a big part of his turnover issue. If he was truly 100% he still the better QB, but they cant run the same offense. Its a pretty simple answer to go wih Osweiler unless Peyton could prove he is completely healthy.
Bearcat Bob 491 Author Report Share Posted January 4, 2016 I guess Peyton answered my question Sunday. 75% of Peyton is still better than 100% of most QBs. I hope he has a strong post season and then gracefully retires. Ryan4VT
Ryan4VT 4,557 Report Share Posted January 4, 2016 Now that my Colts have officially been eliminated, I'll be pulling for Arizona and Denver the rest of the way.
RCITYHOO 110 Report Share Posted January 4, 2016 Start Manning. If he sucks you pull him. But if ya start Osweiller and lose ol my you have the great Manning on the bench and not play him or put him in to late you'll never hear the end of it. But as a Ram fan i'd love to have this problem. 1inStripes
RCITYHOO 110 Report Share Posted January 4, 2016 Might have sounded harsh towards Manning, not saying he isn't great cause he was.
