Which of the four local games would be the best to go see tomorrow night?

Graham @ Gate City

Union @ Richlands

Burton @ Honaker

Twin Valley @ Eastside

If I do go to one, at the moment I am leaning towards Graham/Gate City.  Didn't know if either of the 1A games would be competitive or not.

In order of the best IMO, Richlands, GC, Honaker, and Eastside.

I would go with that as well. I don't foresee either 1A game being all that good from a competitive standpoint. GC has the best team of any of the ones mentioned, but I don't see that one being all that hard for GC in the end. I think the Union @ Richlands game has several layers to it, and could be the most competitive of the four.

My friends and I love watching good high school basketball teams play and our first thought was actually going to watch Richlands play the Union team at home. After watching Richlands play the other night the last thing we want to watch again is another team giving them a swift kick to the arse.

We then thought of going to Gate City but we also have friends who said that they might want to forget that trip because we would never get a seat. My friends family said Graham was taking a pep bus and that they were opening the doors at 5:30pm for that 7pm game. He has friends that are going early so they can line up at the door at 4pm. Are people down there that crazy about basketball? That's insane!

I have never heard of anyone waiting three hours for a game to start.

It does sound like a crazy atmosphere to experience though.

For what it is worth, you watched Richlands play their worst game of the season by far.  Not guaranteeing the game against Union will be any different but my gut tells me you will see a different Richlands team than you did against Graham on February 10th.

For the Richlands at GC game last year I got to GC an hour before doors and I was still about 40 or so people back. And the game was 90 minutes after doors.

That place fills up quickly. If you want a seat, you want to be there NO later than 5:30.
