There’s a possibility they’ll play Independence who already beat them handily in the first round. Fairmont is probably better too. Scott 31, Bluefield 28 Winfield 35, Bluefield 22 Fairmont 28, Bluefield 22 Herbert Hoover 35, Bluefield 31 All 4 of the above are winnable games for Bluefield. They are close enough to where the Beavers could pull it off. Winfield and Fairmont are especially good, but....Independence 41, Bluefield 22. That margin along with the eye test and seeing Independence is a bit too much to overcome. Too wide, but likely not just for Bluefield, but probably to much for Fairmont and Winfield. Not sure what role she has in the school system, but she let it be known all year last year she didn't like him. My opinion is they were head hunting from the get go. Karen Martin, who is the compliance officer with Dickenson County Public Schools wanted Tiller and Edwards to fail from the very beginning. Winfield seems solid this year. I think they could beat anyone except for Indy, Fairmont, and Winfield. Fairmont has three losses all to AAA schools and a impressive win over private school Linsly. If they get the 16 seed, most likely, they would play Winfield. A winnable game if everyone is healthy. Then the next two rounds they would be favored. Championship game they would be a big underdog.
