I’ll try to keep how the SWVA contingent does as it goes along. Here are the ladies and their seeds. Central: 100 - Kyle Sturgill 9 seed 114 - Sophie Carter 16 seed Ft. They have multiple criteria on how they do it. The order is: Winning percentage Number of wins 2023 VHSL Girls Championship finishing place Record vs. girls this season The 1 seed in that bracket is like 32-6 to Portia's 25-11. Those two have the most wins in that bracket -- but there are several girls who are 10-2 or 12-5 (for example) that got seeded higher by percentages. This tournament is different from the boys — there are no classes. In some brackets there were upwards of 50 ladies battling it out, and to stand on the podium is one helluva achievement.
