It’s no surprise that Division 3 state champion Richlands dominates the All-Southwest District team that was released on Monday. Blue Tornado quarterback Justin McCracken and tailback Caleb Jennings were named co-offensive players of the year, while linebacker Brett Clayburne was named defensive player of the year. Head coach Greg Mance and his assistants were tabbed as the coaching staff of the year.

Congratulations to all the SWD players! Congratulations to the Blues for claiming 12 first team spots. McCracken, Jennings and Clayburne - Great way to cap spectacular careers at RHS. Glad to see CJ Arms get recognition at WR. He's the unsung hero of the Blues offense.

I'm surprised to see Compton on there with all the penalties he got this year with I belive three or four touchdowns brought back because of holding and such.

Mcknight should be on the first team defense for sure

and Vandyke on first team offense from the film and games I've watched they did alot more than what it given credit

I can't believe your post!!!! To say that three or four TD's were called back b/c of holding, are you kidding me!!!!!! I'm sure if he didn't do his job on the line, and allowed McCracken to get killed, you would have bitched about that too. Did those 3 or 4 TD's cost Richlands anything????? How dumb!!! The O-Line is what made it for your QB & RB. I am not taking anything away from either ones ability, but think about the ones in the trenches playing with numerous injuries to protect those who get(and take) all the glory. I am just curious as to why Justin_Credible wasn't on here talking about the linemen during the season, just seems a little fishy to me. . . .to call them out after the season. Go figure. These are kids, and if there were anything to you, you would let them enjoy the fruits of their year-round labor.

Congrats to all who were picked by the coaches as All-SWD, especially those who don't receive any PUB all year long!

like to see where Josh Muncy could have been if he hadnt broke his foot in two a days

Probably 1st team all region......no offense to brandon compton but josh muncy was by far the better center this year! Muncy missed a few games and probably still had double the pancakes. There's the only snub i see with the All swd

I've made post about lineman many many times before, I'm the first to praise the linemen cause if it wasn't for them the QB wouldn't be getting a scholarship. I've never ever but down the offensive line at Richlands. I'm not taking anything away from any kid out there playing for any team and I've never doubted any players heart.

I would like to add that I'm in no means calling out any player I was just saying that maybe there are a few kids that where not given as much credit as they deserve like Mcknight and vandyke

I hope each and every player gets a scholarship

I think things got a little out of hand I apologize for any hard feelings

Well "Justin_Credible", it seems to me that you should have given props to those that you think deserve recognition and not mention those that YOU feel are not deserving! Think before you start poking around on the keyboard!!! Nuf said!

If Josh Muncy had made it then either Thomas or Angle one would have been left off. With the season that Jennings and McCracken had there is no way that Tazewell would get 3 first team linemen and Richlands only get one.
