We have learned this lesson many times. Yes, Reg D can win over the C team, but it doesn't happen much and picking the D team can result in a bad choice.
Lastly, Galax is Galax. They rise to the top year after year most times, no matter how bad they look in week 2, do not pick against them in the west.
They’ve not trusted him all game I don’t understand what the hell is going on with the play calling
Yep, they are out of time now. Even if they hold Radford this series on this 3rd down, Graham likely doesn't have time to ground and pound for long. They will have to put it in the air.
Something to think about in this game. Radford has not given up the Big play to Graham. No explosive 50 yds type plays given up by the D and Graham has done that too everyone.
True they’ve had quite a few chances for more points too
I don't think its about its. I thinks Ifs is what separates the two teams. Really good teams catch balls in open field. If you don't catch an open ball, u probably aren't as good as the other team. The blame is on Graham, not "bad luck.'
If Graham just catches the ball twice and just has 1 bad punt instead of 2, it's a 21-7 or 21-8 ballgame. Literally, 3 plays have completely flipped the script for Graham.
For Graham to win, it will need to be by 10 pts. They aren't going to win this game if it's super close. Those discipline and concentration issues will cost them, whether an off sides, a dropped pass, a bad punt, it's tough to overcome in a very close game. Graham will need to get a 10 pt lead and maintain it to win this game in my opinion.
Graham is beat brothers. You can see it. You can feel it. Another dropped touchdown. Graham should be leading 21-14. Mental toughness, focus, discipline. Graham seems just "one play short." 2 bad punts, Graham might have double the total yardage against Radford in the first half.
Heck of a show by Princeton. How about that Head Coach of theirs? I love Taylor. Came out and punched the mighty Bulldogs in the face, but talent and depth has taken over. It's all u can ask of Princeton. Tough, tough bunch this year and great story. Nice TD at tend of the half to make it 28-13. I hope N.Brown from WVU (Head Coach) who is standing on the sidelines at this game realizes there is a stud named Collins who needs an offer from WVU on the spot, and he plays for Princeton, and he's as good as anybody Martinsburg has right now.
Well they looking pretty good right now. 7-0 Princeton
I'm already shocked. I thought it would be 21-0 right now in favor of Martinsburg. If Princeton were to somehow pull this off, their run would be one of the biggest upset type runs in our coverage area in 40 years. I truly believe, just my opinion, it would be that big of a deal.
Wow Martinsburg looks like a small college team. Not one small guy on their team
They are a machine. Ask Salem who played em a couple of times. Princeton has no chance, but neither would any other team in this coverage area, nor WV, nor 95 percent of teams in Virginia.
I'm not trying to be offensive here, but I'm really struggling and having a tough time reconciling how one has the last name of "Scuttlebutt." It reminds me of guy I once knew in Texas with the last name of Shittselstein.
Final. North Carolina 2A semi's. Reidsville 49, Shelby 14. Shelby was a 1pt favorite going into this game by Calpreps. Reidsville will take on historical eastern power in the 2A title game next week in the Darkhorses of Clinton High. I've always loved that nickname. Clinton High is the former school of Terry Holland and Willie Parker (former Pittsburgh Steeler). Reidsville is where former Graham Head Coach and longtime Carlock assistant Doug Marrs coaches as the Defensive Coordinator. I think Marrs is still there and hasn't retired yet. He went to Reidsville after leaving Graham.
Final. 5A South Carolina. Dutch Fork adds another to the trophy case beating White Knoll 21-6.
For those not familiar with Dutch Fork, they've became somewhat of a national powerhouse. The title tonight gave them their 8th state title in the last decade, playing in SCs highest 5A classification.
Curry was averaging over five TDs a game. FIVE touchdowns a game over 14 games. Insane.
I also still remember Zach Terrell, just not very fondly lol. PV held them 20 points but couldn’t find the end zone. Terrell was averaging over four TDs a game himself but was held as in check as possible.
I lived in Tidewater that year and got to see Hampton of 96. I've never seen anything like it since. It was such a huge deal even at that time, that you knew the moment was big. It's one of those rare moments in history when you know that at that moment (no hindsight seeded) that you are living a historical moment that will be talked about for at least 50 years. I soaked it up in Darling Stadium. I just couldn't believe the amount of talent on the field with 1 team. They were like aliens to my young (1996) self. Just unbelievable.
I posted the Pikeville and Raceland score in the Chatbox on the main page.
Pikeville won 21-0 avenging a 7-6 loss from the regular season. Third straight title and fourth in five years. Wished the Panthers and Graham would hook it up or maybe even Pikeville and Union.
Can u tell m how many titles Pikeville has? I know its a lot. I've always wondered
