It was like 49-1 at one point, a loss to Heritage being the only blemish before this season. By my count it was 32 straight, and have only lost twice since 2015, both to Heritage. Union came as close as anyone in 2017 aside from the Heritage loss, and Richlands came close in 2015 in a game Richlands should have won, they were better than Appo that year IMO.

Probably Richlands, Graham, Gate City or Powell Valley/Union. Richlands has sent a ton to VT, GC as well.

I don't believe that. A team like 97 or 98 PV, I'd favor them. That 2016 Appomattox team barely beat Dan River, 16-14. The same Dan River team Union beat, but by five. They were CLICKING at the end of the year, but they were far from unbeatable.

Who is UKs other West opponent? They won't beat UGA, but unless their West opponent is LSU/Bama/Auburn, I can def see UK going 10-2 or 11-1. Snell is a monster, but not sure he's a Heisman candidate with guys like Tua and Kyler Murray having insane seasons.

Appalachia won a state title in 94 by a score of 72-7. They were great. I have been confusing 94 for 95. I thought Zirkle wasn't on the 95 team but he was. 94 might not have beaten them but 95 would have.

After being a doubter for most of the season, I def acknowledge the Warriors are legit for real. But I just know know teams like Essex and Riverheads are also for real and I guess I was letting last year's playoff result cloud my judgement.

And why the face @Chil.2010? I wasn't denigrating Warriors, only that Riverheads has already knocked off one highly ranked 2A team and along with teams like Galax and such are always in contention.

I'm not rooting against them, I'd love for them to win a title. I just know that in 1A, Riverheads is usually the measuring stick.

But they needed Jenkins speed back there to try and limit those deep passes. It took six games but our coordinator finally decided to use his brain and run nickel and dime coverage against a team who threw the ball 80% of the time

Union has some good athletes, nothing like Graham but there are some very athletic kids on the roster. Kids like Jenkins, Garrison, Rasnick, Falin are all pretty good athletes. Jenkins is a burner, he outran the entire MW defense for a long TD last night.
