  1. FWIW, out of the four teams in the Region D semis, three came from the M7.
  2. Well, you posted exactly that. You said "Guess you could say that about any team in the district", despite none of the other schools ever having issues with each other but almost all have had issues w Wise. It's a shame, bc Mullins and McAmis (the player) are exceptional ballplayers and deserve tons of credit.
  3. No, I couldn't. That's the issue. But I won't go into this again, it's clear you have already decided that Wise isn't the issue, it's every other team that's played them.
  4. A-no one said that. B-Wise played within four points against state champions, All-World Graham for most of the game.
  5. When the Wise boys basketball team follows your advice, I'm sure the rest of the district will follow.
  6. Central holds on late to beat Union, advances to face VHS in the Region D final.
  7. VHS up late on RV, could end the Packs season much earlier than anticipated.
  8. He finished with 41. At this pace, he will break the career record.
  9. Union-54 Grayson-45 Big win for the Bears!
  10. What points system? There is no standard points system in basketball to the best of my knowledge. Most conferences used regular season standings plus tournament finish to determine regional seedings.
  11. That could be the corniest, most lame post ever made on a message board, any message board in the history of the internet.
  12. Union only lost by like 15 in their first meeting, so it looks like 13-15 points is as close as any M7 team got, and GC also has 30+ point wins over those same teams.
  13. If both teams had same record and one team advanced further in district tournament, logic dictates that team should receive higher seed in region tourney.
  14. Okay? That doesn't answer why you're being so combative about it.
  15. If you aren't 100% sure, why are you acting so offended?
  16. That makes no sense. You came in here and were being a dick and overly combative about a minor error then you don't even get the numbers right.
  17. Tell whatever LOUSY scorer who did those stats they misspelled a kids name. SO unprofessional lolol
  18. That information is almost exactly what Liam has posted, 73 away from Iverson and needing to average right at 38ppg in seven games to break Tanner's record. So why were you being so combative about it?
  19. And I could pretend I talked to John Wooden's ghost and he told me when you die you become a supernova, but without any facts or sources, I'd just sound like a condescending dick like you. If you have information that proves the total being kept here is wrong, post the information and update us, don't be an asshole about it.
  20. Source? Liam has kept comprehensive numbers this year. If you're gonna accuse of him of being wrong, back it up with facts.
  21. Lebanon can give Wise problems, wouldn't be shocked if they pulled off the upset.
  22. Union is in a serious skid, losing again to Wise tonight. Looking at stats, did Mitchell not play? He wasn't listed as a scorer.
  23. Bennet does a great job of sticking to his team philosophy no matter the score, you won't see many UVA games in the 80s. They aren't great offensively and don't have many players who can create their own shots but do a good job as a team by executing and passing to an open shooter. A team with superb guard play and that can shoot lights out may can put them out but if UVA is playing well they're the toughest team to beat in the country. They're ranked #1 in the AP poll for first time since Sampson left IIRC. Duke is super talented but wildly inconsistent, they have a guy like Grayson Allen that could score 30 or go 1-17 and score four. No doubt Bagley is their best player and I feel, in my gut, that Allen doesn't like being the top dog and the team isn't as close-knit as a UVA or Villanova. I see them as a Sweet 16 team. There will be Uber talented teams in the 5-8 seed range. WVU could fall to that line, UT, UK, UNC, Wichita State, Alabama, etc... could potentially make a deep run. It's such a parity driven year, literally any team could win it all.
  24. No, you're interpreting data in a way more favorable to your opinion but in a way that runs counter to how everyone else uses the expression 'choking' in the context of sports. I don't know if UVA makes a FF, their bracket will decide that. I think they're one of the four best teams in the nation but VT showed a blueprint to beat them by having excellent guard play, limiting turnovers and offensive rebounds, and creating fast break points when possible. Duke is one of the 6-7 best teams but I don't trust them. They could get hot and win it all or flame out in the second round.
  25. Battle, Union was likely favored by most. It's not like Vegas puts out lines for VHSL 2A Mountain 7 conference games so there's nothing official. Wise? Most would have favored Central or had the game a toss up. Mullins played in the most recent meeting as opposed to the first meeting so anyone who strongly favored Union is dumb. The Wiki said strongly favored, which Union would not have been in either game. I almost feel bad for you if you truly believe simply having a lead late in a game is choking. If you honestly believe that, I do feel bad for you bc you obviously have no idea how to correctly use the term 'choke' in a sporting context. But I believe you're just trying to turn the tables on me for some reason because I accurately remarked about how Wise choked away the game in BSG by turning the ball over twice in the last minute and jacking up threes instead of running an offense.
