So just like people are saying for Richlands. ....if Gc wins they will travel no matter what as well. Because I'm almost 100% sure that Glenvar isn't going to beat Giles. Looks like a long trip next weekend for either of us. I'm hoping all of Northeast TN and SW Virginia shows up at Legion Saturday for this game and makes for an atmosphere like we always used to have. I miss the days when it was packed and no seats were available within an hour and a half of kickoff....6 or 7 deep on the fences

Man... I am already getting fired up for this game. I will say that Saturday's game was one of the more satisfying wins personally as a GC fan. :) Oh well I am tired and need to get my rest, I have to go up and relieve Quincy and take over watering the field at 2am

Gate City is playing at an incredibly high level and if they can continue they will meet Giles in the finals. However highschool kids after 13 games, if you include the benifit game, get tired; so we will see how long they can keep going. The new playoff system is one more of attrition than of who the best team is in the end. Heck the national college champion only plays 14-15 games at most with 2 by weeks and a month before the big bowl games. To win VHSL it takes 15 games with 1 week off not including scrimmages. All about the money not the health of the kids or who is the best team anymore. Hopefully the kids can survive the playoffs. The injuries get worse every week- they are worn out , especially the teams with real schedules like these 2 teams.

Buckshot732 - Mance plans on playing our starting Guard at QB. He also plans to take a knee on every 3rd play we run. Please pass this along to the GC coaches. Appreciate it.

I'll get the ball rolling for GC: From a trusted source inside the field house, our coaches will be changing things up (They fear being too predictable during this rematch). Most of our starters will be changing positions (Herron will be at RT) and we'll be using the same offensive playbook and script that VT used against Wake yesterday. Defensively, we'll be in the Prevent exclusively, with no stunts, blitzes, or pressure, just to be safe.
 
Can any of you Blues fans close to the team share any info regarding Coach Mance's gameplan?

Glad to hear that the injured Gate City Player  is Ok. Didn't look good during the Fact. as far as Ragland goes I haven't heard what happen to him just know that he didn't return to the game. You guys have a Great Program and Fan support would love to see that kind of support for Buckingham Co.  Good luck the rest of the way.

On a lighter note, apparently an ice shortage is being reported by truckers on CB Channel 19 at both the Flying J and Sheetz on the I-81 corridor. This shortage correlates to stops by the Buckingham County charter bus, apparently the Knights are a bit sore...

The GC player who was injured was on Facebook a few minutes ago to say he was fine, so prayers answered. he didn't go into detail but he said he was fine so that's great

True...but the day that GC players act like that is the day I stop supporting them.

I agree, but that's my point: GC wouldn't field a team that would act that way. Coaches wouldn't allow a team with the attitudes and lack of discipline we saw today. Any GC coach or future GC coaches that did allow it would be run out of town by the fan base.

I just wanted to, first Congratulate Gate City on their Victory today. In a million years I would not have thought they would win this big. They are a very good football team. # 7 is a very special player # 10 to be as young as he is he can sling the Ball also. I know he only got us on two pass plays but there was a couple more he could have got us on. I think he had some jitters then. Good luck to you Guys Next week. I know you all want to hear me say it so here it is We Got a Ass Kicking Today in every phase of this Game.

I saw the ghost of Coach Fry crack a wry smile as the Knights sulked off of Legion Field

Proud of the Devils today and look forward to seeing the Blues come to town next week, will be a great game from programs with mutual respect.

Turning ugly at Legion Field, field is littered with yellow flags.
