Marion everything is bad from the field with part of baseball infield on it to visitors dressing Agree with ST Paul infield made up a large portion of the field. Saw a kid trip over the lip of the infield and was wide open for a TD pass LOL Clintwood visitors dressing room worst ever Agree with Holston not sure what is going on there Hurley awesome with the Cliff but the field isn't much and everyone sits on the same side

Northwood did ok according to some. PH wasn't there for 7 on 7 but attended team camp instead.

I agree and most coaches really give credit where it goes to the players. I guess if caught me off guard when they said they were not going to be caught by surpriseby anything they would see.

Guys did I read that wrong or was the coaching staff taking alot of credit for the success of the team? I mean I know coaching is important but does any one think that it is all coaching?

Pretty fair assessment and the score is generous but I do think if PM has some early success with the run game it could be interesting. The consensus of people I talk to agree GW is very good and big but not physical.. So if PM gets the physical game going I want to see how GW reacts. The only other physical game they have been in was Galax and we know how that turned out.

Guys I have seen Tazewell and Abingdon. Abingdon will pull off the dogs but could score 80 easliy.

Great post. I miss the how the coaches after the game would go into the opposing locker room and speak to players and coaches the game was played harder but in the end there was better sportsmanship. I miss that no one knew the scores until highlights tonight or the next day in the Bristol Paper. The fans were different as they actually watched the game and not spent time on the phone socializing. Going to Rye Cove and getting a bologna sandwhich and chips. Walking home after practice with no ride. The passion the players had for the game and it was evident on the field. And of course the oldtimers telling me how great it was when they played and how much tougher the players were! LOL

Should be a good game. Chilhowie lost a vary good player in their own with Clark going down. They have multiple players that can make big plays though.

Well maybe just maybe if you visited Hurley you would find a very nice group of people that will treat you with respect. I think if I am not mistaken when Battle traveled up the road a few years back the fans were quite vocal and somewhat intimidating. That is about as nice as I can say it.

It is good to see respect between too teams and not trash talk. That is why GW is the measuring stick and this side of the mountain and that PH has earned some respect. I just think that the young men form GW will be motivated to stop Humphrey and they have the size and skill to do it. I would love to make it to this one but last Friday was my night off to watch football.

Glad to see that the PH fans stand behind the team. Too many times on here when a team has a great start certain fans turn on them. Canes00 I think you could be correct as the line play was crucial as was the late hit with Marion up 27-20, either way one call does not change the outcome and Marion was the better team. It should be a tough chore for PH to go to GW and get a win but crazier things has happened.

The VHSL has an athlete in good standing rule. I would think that an athlete that has been charged would not be in good standing. I understand where the thought process is with innocent until proven guilty but an amateur athlete that is underage is not the same as an adult that is released until court date. Not knowing anything about the situation I would think most school districts would at least suspend the athlete until the court makes a decision.

The same reason for years Abingdon has played JSB and PH. Although PH is not on the schedule anymore Abingdon has played the smaller schools. They played Burton a few years back. I would say it is because they lack the confidence in the past to play those schools you speak of. If may have changed now with Coach Reed in charge.

Wow why the hate towards PH and Hurley? I really don't think anyone form either side has said their team can beat GC, Graham, Richlands or Union. I think it is great for SW VA to have teams winning. What about Chilhowie? They are having a great year after two tough seasons. I really think outside of Galax there are several teams that could beat each other. Truth is and it has been said on here that Galax had its hands full with Hurley last year, and they played the same "weak" schedule. LOL
