To quote myself on this post, I noticed 5 if not 6 playing both sides at numerous times.
Union dominated the game other than the stated turnovers. We really only gave up 1 big play and that was the run up the gut that Jenkins chased down.

No Foreback is out for Friday.   An the game starts at 7:30 I talked to the AD.  

My dad has always said that about playing big schools.  

1A,2A,4A,6A,9A....you can only put 11 on the field at once.

The collapse of Rome isn't too fun to watch. My heart breaks a little more each Friday night. When fans are leaving at halftime of a GC game, you know something is wrong. Hats off to Union though, they have a solid team with some serious speed.

Union is the best team I've seen this season. Mitchell might be better at QB for Union. The ball is in your playmakers hands every play, we knew it was coming, and couldn't stop it. 
 
And Joel Davis is very liked by the players from GC, I heard that tonight. 

Throughout this thread, I've kept wondering a few things...just gonna put 'em out there.
1-Out of the first 4 games, who exactly should GC have beaten?  Looking down the schedule, I don't see a team in those four who GC is better than. 
2-Out of the games left, how many of those should GC be the clear favorite in?  Out of the 6 games left, I only see one team who GC is clearly better than...and that is due in large part to injury.
3-The biggest question is this...with the level of talent currently at GC, I think GC's record is where it would be even if the coach was Nick Saban. 
It's clear to me that GC is just in a sour run when it comes to athletes.  In order to be successful, you have to have athletes and you have to have talent to coach up.  Without that, it doesn't matter who your coach is.  Just my 2 cents.

This is a hypothetical answer to a hypothetical question, but: Coach Colobro would have developed an offense tailored to the skill set of his kids. He never fielded an offense this inept in his career. He would have a defensive coordinator and assistant coaches that he trusted to do their jobs. He would not attack kids personally. He would not be contacting kids the week before the first game promising starting positions with total disregard to the guys that have been showing up all off season \ summer. Fundamentals would be sound. Discipline would be present. I guarantee, under Colobro, this group competes with Richlands and Abingdon, maybe beats South. I have zero doubt that Colobro would have this team in the playoffs.
 

I hate this rule it's just football to me.  If i was in the players shoes (well cleats) from VA High I would have probaly made the same block. The way they got it set up now that is a illegal block.  I don't like the rule I hate that the kid got hurt he has been hurt for 2 years it's a shame such a good player.

How do people consider them a good team when they've beat Lebanon (1-3) Burton (0-3) and Eastside (0-4) and got beat by 30 against TN High (3-2) ?

Because the offense isn't bad. It's one dimensonal but far from bad. When you're rushing for 350+ yards per game on more than 5ypc, that's not bad offense in any shape or form.
Union is incredibly one dimensonal right now and against better teams it's very tough to win being so one dimensonal but the offense is not bad.

I'm glad RV is doing good but Union rolls Defense is to tough.  Running game is legit.  

Be shocked if it's not, people may not agree with what I'm about to say but qualls may be the best QB on the team right now IMO!! 

With his running ability it makes the offense more dynamic.  I remember when he was young he could really toss the pig skin but we will see.  I really hope qualls get to play QB until Bailey returns.

Union has to win by 2 TD's or the ref's screw them outta this one. I think 35-14. I say let turner rest and put #10 at the helm. Qualls can throw the rock, and has some good speed.

I think the qualls kid is a awesome QB it sucks If we lost him but 10 back there will put another threat back there with is legs an he can throw.  Was always the QB in 8th 9th grade.  He isnt listed as the back up but i guarantee If Bailey is out he will be back there.  An from what I just Hurd he is fine got a few text from coaches that he is ok.
