Ever who wins state will field most of the all state players with a few standout players getting some of the positions. Players like Bradshaw if Graham doesn't win state and Lomax maybe but I'm sure theres alot of competition at RB.

GC does that alot with Jenkins also not sure why others don't either. Kills me to see a D1 player getting 7 touches a game

Im not sure why teams at the 2a level just don't take their best athlete and line him up in shotgun about 15 times a game and just run him. Worked for Union with Mitchell and I'm sure it would work with Bradshaw and Beaver's also

Is central and Gate City still the teams to beat in girls basketball haven't kept up with it lately but niece plays for Union so guess I'll catch a few this year

If unions defense wakes up they could play the spoiler role but I'd be shocked if we don't see a Central Graham matchup at some point. And I think Central actually could beat them just because it's hard to get their offense off the field

Why does everyone always say Union won't be able to run on Graham and then they go and run for 300 yards. I agree graham is the better team but you honestly think Lomax and Satterfield and Bunch can't get 150 yards

I know Unions sucks. Anything past 20 yards is missed and for some reason when a player walks past 50 they teleport to the 45

Your right about football not being big in certain areas out East. I was living near Hopewell when they were a powerhouse early 2000s and they would have 500 fans. Went to a game Henrico vs Varina both teams ranked high Henrico with a receiver going to Mich St. and Varina had Michael Robinson who went to Penn State and there was less than a 1000 people there. But everyone loved they're soccer though 🤮
