I agree them boys played with some intensity. Yes Ridgeview was an 11th seed but they have been on a roll winning 5 straight after starting the season slow. Every week I put a team on upset alert, this week will be Glenvar.

That's a very tough decision! If only Giles could've gotten that 5th seed so that it could be a Friday game!

If Union takes Graham lightly then they will be put on upset alert. Once graham gets a head of steam they are dangerous. I'm taking Richlands over Buckingham in what could be a shootout. Giles and Glenvar is definitely the game of the week. Should be another low scoring game. Both teams should have all players healthy. With good weather and good officiating, I say that Giles pulls the upset. People wouldn't consider it an upset but I would considering that Glenvar is the defending Champs that returned almost everyone and Giles lost 14 starters. These are just my opinions, we will know for sure next weekend!

I love seeing this mutual respect that Richlands and Abingdon has for one another. I don't know much about Abingdon but I think Richlands has some of the most respectful fans of any school. Congrats to both teams for advancing and good luck next week!

Good to see that both teams should have everyone back. Should be a very physical game. But since Giles and Glenvar are playing each other I'm sure the weather will be crappy as it usually is when these teams play.

I agree. Giles should be 100% now. Their full back returned tonight and ran the ball better then I've seen him run this season. He was playing with a broken leg against Glenvar the 1st time they played

Yes, Glenvar beat Giles 16-14 with a field goal in the last minute and a half

They will need to tweek some of their blocking assignments if Glenvar comes out in that same defense. Giles usually has a lineman pulling every play but couldn't do that the 1st time they played Glenvar. I'm sure they will make adjustments.

It should be a good game. I do hope though that Union and Giles win next week. I've been wanting to see those 2 teams meet up

It's going to be tough. I expect another low scoring game. I observed the Giles/RV game tonight and I've never seen Giles play with so much intensity. I think Glenvar would've went down tonight if they would've been at Giles. Just my opinion of course, not trying to down the Highlanders.

Their running back is a stud. Transfer from Florida or North Carolina. Do not give him any open space. He just has the build of a really great running back. They also have a really fast wide receiver. He's not that tall but if he gets a step on you he won't be caught.

This game was complete domination. I am glad that I chose this game despite it being a blowout. Ridgeview had some big guys, and almost 60 players but Giles was just firing on all cylinders tonight. I'd say they had close to 400 yards rushing with 4-5 different guys scoring touchdowns. And they're defense just swarmed to the ball on every play. Looks like they will be going to Glenvar next week for a rematch. Great season Ridgeview, I do believe yall are going to be a force in the next few years

Just wanted to wish all the teams playing tonight, and tomorrow good luck and congratulations for making it to the post season. Whether you are a #1 seed or #16 seed you still get to play an addional week longer than many other schools so be proud of that accomplishment. Safe travels to all fans, especially the ones having to travel 3 hours or more. Even if it is a far drive your team needs your support! Again, good luck to all teams and lets get ready for an exciting post season!!

An earlier poster said that he should be ready come playoff time. Not sure that he'll play 4 quarters Friday, but he should be completely healed if Giles gets past Ridgeview

I do think that Giles has a few things up their sleeve. I watched them play Christiansburg early in the season, and they ran some stuff I'd never seen. IF Giles and Glenvar advance, Glenvar better come ready to play because I'm sure Giles has some pissed off players after the way the 1st game went

I'm looking forward to going to this game. I've seen Giles play a few times this season, but have not even seen the first film on RV.

They will need to come at Glenvar with something they haven't seen. Will need to air it out more than usual to keep them honest

#25 Mann is their tailback. I think hes close to 1500 yards rushing. Hes fast and very athletic. I believe he is their safety too and he will lay the wood on someone. #2 Beidleman is a stud on defense, leads the timeland in interceptions. He also is their wingback so he gets the ball on their reverse plays. Hes very quick and has talented juke moves. Their lineman arent that big but they are quick. Giles isnt great at just 1 thing but they are good at just about everything.

If Giles and Glenvar advance to the 2nd round can we expect Giles to tweak their play book since Glenvar can stop the power running game?

I would tell them to get their degree, get a job teaching, then try out for a coaches job. Otherwise, they can sit in the bleachers, let the players play, coaches coach, and officials officiate.

No team will beat Glenvar by trying to run the ball right at them. Not sure how they do on outside sweeps
