  1. I would say Italian Village at Claypool Hill Mall, but I'm not from there. Lol. A think a lot of people on here will tell you the Bearded Moose, so I would probably try there, even though I personally haven't ate there.
  2. To answer the original question in short... this is most certainly Ridgeview's best team yet. BUT, when you play in a district as tough as the Mountain... that's not really saying a whole lot. We COULD lose every game from here till the final game of the season which is a probable win vs. Honaker. I don't think we WILL.... I think we'll get at least one more district win, but as tough as the Mountain is, it's certainly possible.
  3. Bearcats 49, Walmart Warriors 6 Central will be lucky to win a game the rest of the season.
  4. Morristown West is only considered a 4A school by Virginia standards, so Union will only get 4A power points for that game. 1A Region D is 8 teams. Last I checked, there was no official word on 2A Region D.
  5. I was always told once you got on the north side of the New River, you were out of SWVA and in the New River Valley... but I think Radford is considered on the board... probably others also I'm not thinking of.
  6. Watching from the stands? Suspended or quit?
  7. Shelby Valley had turf also. We played a scrimmage at Lebanon and Norton, so if you count those, we have played on grass this year. I was going to say 75 yards or more. Shoot man, if you hook me up with one of those sweet "U" polos, I'll even wear it and take a picture in it if I lose the bet. I'm not saying we'll win the game by any means, and we might get blown out... I just don't think we'll get shut out.
  8. jarhead likes to be emphatic in case you hadn't noticed using ALL CAPS at times. Not that that's a bad thing. It's great to get excited and show emotion sometimes. :D
  9. It's only 9 am and I have already had my good laugh for the day. Thanks!
  10. I agree... Mullins was sacked in the end zone at least 2 yards deep near the end of the first half. Should've been a safety. They said he was down at the 2.
  11. Adkins may not get to the century mark, but I would be willing to bet he at least gets close. He's going to be a contender for Mountain POTY in the next two years. I guarantee that.
  12. Union won't shut us out I don't think... but they won't have any problems with us either. Still couldn't be happier that we're going into this game undefeated. Never would have believed it had you told me before the season started.
  13. Hope Lee shuts them out and keeps Burton scoreless for the season.
  14. Right. You promote the product intending for the listener to listen to the whole show. Lol.
  15. Larry, kind of off topic, but you're probably the realest guy in the room when it comes to Gate City football, so let me ask you this. If Gate City and Ridgeview played today, who would be your pick?
  16. I wouldn't say you get nothing from it... 3A power points for beating them always helps. Haysi stole playoff berths, including a #1 seed one of those years, in 2005 and 2006 because they scheduled them in their first two years of existence and beat them.
  17. The loser of this one probably goes 0-fer in the district... hoping we can pull this out... don't want to go two years in a row without getting a district win. I talked to a couple of our coaches over at the UVa-Wise game last night, they think Lee is actually the second best team in the district. While I certainly think they're a sleeper... better than Abingdon? I doubt it.
  18. It would appear as if the Graham and Giles rivalry has already escalated between the mod and the posters on here and the players haven't even taken the field. Lol.
  19. I totally retract this statement... when I posted this, I wanted him to be out a couple of games not really hurt per se... but just kept out as a precautionary measure since Union shouldn't have any problems beating us without him. Prayers for Bailey, Travis and the whole Turner family.
  20. When Haysi went there in 2005, there was a visitors side if I recall... I don't think there were many seats, but there were some. Now they don't have any?
  21. I think this will be our best shot to beat the Walmart Warriors. If you look at how each team did against Grundy, then it's almost a dead even game. The defensive gameplan is simple on paper. Stop the run whether it's Jessee or Mullins. This is probably our only shot to get a conference win this season, so I look for the Pack to give it all they have to try to get it done and be 3-0 heading to Bullitt Park next week. Wolfpack 21 Walmart Warriors 16
