Surprisingly enough, Ridgeview actually split with Lebanon this year. We beat Lebanon the second time around and actually were in control to win the CMC regular season, then we only won like one game the rest of the season after that.

I know... between their fans and Sullivan East fans, I am not sure who I despise more when I go to the Arby's every year. Lol.

I was wondering the same. I think at least 1 was to Lebanon, maybe both. edit: Nope, Richlands and Lebanon only played once with Richlands winning 4-2 according to the BHC.

This is related to SWVA and southern West Virginia in what way other than the V-T game? I had a rough night last night, so I felt like being mean to someone today. I know that regardless of how good they are, 99% of the time, their worst team will beat Virginia High by 2-3 TD's.

Also noticed that Wise only has 10 games (0 out of conference) whereas most D2 schools play 11.

Somehow, I don't think ETSU is going to win the James Mitchell sweepstakes.

How long is this tournament anyway? Seems like it's been going on for 2 months.

Yeah, I was thinking the last two and possibly Twin Valley. Even though there are four regions now and 8 teams per... I still think you'll see your 3-7, 4-6, maybe even 2-8 teams get in the playoffs.

Holy crap. Who did they lose to that bad? Pretty sure that Grundy and possibly Union are the only one or two soccer games Ridgeview has won as well.

It should be much easier for Grundy to make it this year, since they'll be down to 1A.

Actually the conferences never existed in football. It has always been districts in football, so John Battle, Gate City, Ridgeview, Central, Lee and Union are all district games for you. The conferences also will cease to exist for all the other sports once this spring season ends. What has yet to be explained though is how Abingdon can compete for regionals in all the other sports excluding football considering they're the only 3A team in a 2A district.

Nothing near Ridgeview at all unless you want to make a side trip to Haysi and hit the Pizza Factory. I seen you post about this place on Facebook. Going to have to stop in one of these days. Wolf Hills is a nice little place. Love their honey cream ale and double IPA. I didn't see much food offerings on their menu that I thought I would enjoy. I stopped at Creek Bottom in Galax (at least I think that's what it's called), after the Riverheads game last season, and they had some great food offerings, but I didn't have time to eat. Just got some of their beer instead.

I got temporarily banned just for linking to my blog predicting scores for the week. Wasn't even trying to draw traffic away from here, but guess that's what it got perceived as. Oh well, you live and you learn.

Yeah... You've probably never been to a Ridgeview/Central game. Lol. The fan bases and student bodies simply don't like one another. Central fans showed up at UVA-Wise for the regionals and state quarterfinals last year just to support the other team, so if that's how they feel, then that's how we feel also. I do like and admire coach Dotson though and think he's a good guy. And he's by far the best girls coach, maybe all time, in SWVA. He's the only one who has tried to inhibit class and sportsmanship in the rivalry.
