Ridgeview girls played absolutely terrible, Steve Honaker's crew are the zebras tonight which led to the girls barely surviving John Battle 42-39.

I don't know anything about John Battle this season except that they lost three good scorers from last year. I did notice though in the Mountain District preview in the Herald Courier, that the coaches picked us to finish ahead of John Battle, which was a little eye catching. I could see Battle winning tonight, with the Pack taking the rematch at the Den later this year. Union and GC cowtromp Lee and Central respectively.

Yeah, I ranted on Twitter after UVa-Wise blew what at the time would have been a monumental upset over #2 Concord (Concord went to the D2 title game that season if I recall correctly) a couple of years ago that I would never go to a Wise game again unless he was fired, because it was his idiocy that lost them that game. Then I ranted continuously the following year... then finally they got the message at the end of that season from many observers and gave him the boot. He's pathetic.

That sounds like a dumb way to handle things. I really don't like how the CMC handles the whole Lebanon thing either, while every team only plays Lebanon once during the season, they count it as two wins or losses. The whole district/conference thing is stupid. If Lebanon is in the CMC, and the conference is what eventually advances you to regional play, then they should have to play those teams twice, not the other southwest district teams twice.

Gate City could beat every other team in the district, including Union by at least 20... they're just that good man.
