If Graham plays next Saturday like they did today it will be a long ride back to Bluefield. Blocking on the offensive line and on special teams was lacking to say the least. When you get that many holding penalties someone is getting beat and chasing the play. With that said, how in this world does Kiser of all kids lose his cool and get ejected? Of all the kids on this team to get ejected I would have bet my next paycheck it wouldn't have been him!!!

Both of these boys will be greatly missed both on and off the field. I find myself watching them 99% of the time.

This is a rematch of last year's state championship game. How do yall see this one playing out?

I'm not ready to say Central wins but I do believe this will be a great game. The weather on Saturday could play a role in the outcome. After watching some of Central's game film I hope Graham doesn't take them lightly. They seem to execute well on offense and get to the ball in a hurry on defense. Should be a good contest. Safe travels to all the fans attending the game!

I'm sure the $5k per playoff game is paid by Tazewell county not the VHSL. I may be incorrect though.

Congratulations to Union on another good season. Those kids were just flat out worn out. As for Graham..........WOW. I can't recall a game with a better defensive stand than that. They came to play. On to Central. I hope they stay focused this week. @Hokie1Pokie you were right on your defensive post earlier. 👏👏😂

A couple of weeks ago Graham honored the 1989 team at halftime. They played a video of highlights from their games that season. One of the things that stood out to me was the attendance at the games back then. It appeared the stands were packed each week. Both home and away. With the exception of the Graham/Beaver game the stands are pretty much empty. Even though we pride ourselves on this end of the state for still supporting our teams. It seems there is definitely a decline by our standards especially.

I listened to some of the Tazewell broadcast on my way to the game yesterday. I thought they did a great job. Better than listening to Graham's...........I know, I know that's not really saying much. Lol

Congratulations to Tazewell on a hard fought season. The way those kids finished this year compared to last year is really impressive. Especially with the amount of injuries they endured. There's something to be said for Coach Harris and his staff for keeping those kids focused. He would have my vote for COY.
