I remember looking at Tazewells roster and seeing that their top 3 or 4 pass catchers were seniors. Creasy might find out next year what Reese felt like this year. IF the stats are the same without all those weapons and he end up breaking that VHSL record POY should be a not contest.
He still has some targets with McDonald being the top one. There is still Mullins, (the other) Patterson, McGuire, and Snap. Fill in a good RB they should fill out well.
What’s his name? And after the v high game Lebanon now has 10 players out for the year 9 of which are starters. Been tough to play some of these games with all of the injuries
Anybody know why Patterson was out Friday? If had him as Qb then things will still be good offensively. Takes him away as a weapon but he can run or throw it pretty well.
Older brother out due to strained ligament. Younger brother played QB. This week will need to be a healing week.
As is Tazewell being better than their record shows. I will never understand all the Tazewell Bulldogs hate on this site.
I don’t think there is hate. There will always be something that someone wishes they could change or say they can do better. I’ve said before, play the system that best fits the kids you have and use the talent that you’re blessed with. No politics or favoritism.
Noticed last week that the Dogs were playing different players at D-End. I know that Taylor played the spot and I think that one of the Patterson's played the other side. That combination gives you added speed and agility. They still didn't shed the blocks very well but were far better at pursuing down the line and forcing the plays to the inside.
One DE was out sick. One good thing about having the talent, Tazewell is able to move kids around that can play various positions. Like I’ve said before, they’ve always had the talent. Just not the knowledge of how to use it.
On defense, if Tazewell can get better containment on the ends and corners then I can see Tazewell being in control. On offense, I still don’t understand why they do not use their committee of RBs and run the ball.
Grundy has always been great at the LOS against Tazewell, pounding that ball every play. We do have a better line this year but Grundy will make you work for it.
I’m sure Tazewell is like other programs. Politics and favoritism takes control and ruins it for kids. I don’t know how you fix it or if it’s fixable. Tazewell has had several talented athletes the past several years and those talents were limited or never focused on because of personal agendas. I think it’s sad for any school that goes through that.
Tazewell made defensive adjustments and just kept digging. I think the embarrassment from Friday night smacked them in the face and woke them up. As stated earlier, maintaining composure in a rivalry like this pays off.
With him playing no way the game should be close let alone Richlands up. Richlands looked AWFUL last week.
Just goes back to what I said earlier, one team came prepared and the other didn’t. I put that on the coaches, kids are going to play offense/defense the way they’re told to. I do commend the Richlands team, they came ready to knock some heads and they took the energy away from Tazewell. Hopefully things will change Monday. Go Dogs.
From a talent perspective? Not bad at all. Very, very good. I'll stop there. No I won't. What is going on at Tazewell is Laughable. Absolutely Laughable. Now, I'll stop there.
From my perspective, you can tell who was prepared and who wasn’t. Coaching and play calling is terrible.
Have you ever been to a Graham game that wasn't beaver? Fans don't show up for them even in the playoffs. They can be great and we can suck or be so-so and Taz fans still outnumber them.
