Northam isn't on a ballot anywhere!!! The gubernatorial race in Virginia precludes the sitting Governor from seeking reelection. If you want to suggest Northam is pandering to his base to benefit the Democratic party, fine. Semantics possibly but facts matter. Not calling attention to misleading information is how we've ended up in this mess considering everybody has a voice with social media now.
I'm not even suggesting there not be a football season. But the fact we're even having this conversation is directly attributable to those selfish people among us who refuse to be vaccinated. That isn't the Governor's fault in the least. I would say the same thing if the sitting Governor represented the Republican party. Those who refuse the vaccine are causing this situation to be far worse than it has to be!!! It may not be a cure, but it has proven to prevent hospitalization and death. Thus, reducing the stress on an already taxed healthcare system. If you (or anyone else) refuse to get vaccinated, you lose any credibility when blaming others for another shut-down.
Check your facts, you make some good points. However, i know two fully vacinated people that died from the delta variant and another sister of them is hospitalized now.
I watched the Appomattox game, it appeared that the 500 spectators per team may have been exceeded by 2 or 3 —-hundred, just saying if they did , great , who cares what the VHSL thinks or king Ralphie
It certainly did appear that way on the Appo side for sure.
The VHSL has just bumped up attendance to 1000 for the championship games. Tickets will be split to each school. If there are any unsold tickets they will be sold to the general public, but you can bet that Appomattox and Stuart’s Draft will use all of their tickets
Appo definitely will use all of our tickets. Dont think the draft game sold out last week.
Unfortunately there are times she’s is using those lungs and not representing our program in a positive way and we just hang our heads.
Fortunately my hearing is worse than i care to admit as i cannot recognize what she is yelling. I'm focused on the game and tend to block the crowd noise out but have heard alot of complaints about her. But as you already said she does not represent Appo in the way we desire.
Not much to say about this game other than Appo had speed that Union didn't.
Very proud of our young line and the way we moved the ball. Unfortunately, we just couldn't match up with their backs once they hit the 2nd level.
Can't coach speed and it's very hard to coach against it.
Appreciate the seniors on the team and happy they got at least a partial season. To all the players that will be back in the fall, hit the weights, run track, work hard, don't give up, don't give in, and take a tremendous amount of pride in knowing that you accomplished more than expected and you will be even better in August!

To be very honest i was very fearful of playing against Union. Union has really come together as a team at the right time to peak. Due to the rain i knew the team with the least fumbles was going to win the game plain and simple. Fumbles gave Appo momentum and they rolled with it and kept Union having to play catch up. Kinda sorta glad the game was not on a dry field as stopping Union's run attack might have been harder if they were able to get better traction on the field. Union is going to be a force to reckon with this fall, they are young and very tough, i fully expect to face them this fall in the playoffs. Congrats to Union players you guys are true champions.
Yeah , I will be working the game, I was told today, let your community know there are bathrooms behind the home stands now, much nicer than your last visit. I don’t know if food will be at the game, so we now have Curklins and a new pizza place both serve good food and some good beer if you like that sort of beverage. I will be on the scoreboard end on the visitor side, see you then

Nope, we have almost a full stable returning this fall. Our QB is only a jr. Our roster is filled with freshmen and sophmores and i know of atleast 1 RB from jv that is going to be a killer.
that doesn't seem too fair. I've saw film (u-tube) from appo side with electronic siren blaring before, during, and after plays. works for one should work for all, just saying. personally, I say bring all the noise makers in the world to create the loudest game ever, each week. players and TRUE fans of a great game will always appreciate it.
I see a lot of u-tube how to build horn tutorials throughout this crowd in the near future, say august 21.

Agree with that as well but then you get an incident like Union at Graham and it creates a real stink and bad look..
Also if I remember correctly, didn't Appo stop teams from bringing stuff to them as well?
Appo did not stop them, but rather insisted proper use be adhered to. The refs for the graham playoff game spoke to the band directors of both teams and warned flags would be thrown.
That Calpreps projection is not yet updated from the games on Friday and Saturday (this weekend). Monday afternoon, the projections will be updated reflecting this weekends games.
All of their stats and scores did reflect this past weekend, but maybe the projection has not been updated. I will look again monday to see if it changes.

We did consider doing something like that but when drivers permit and credit cards are in her pocket book we felt it best to go back. We called the restruant and the manager stayed a few minutes late to meet us. Was well worth the trip tho as we met alot of very nice folks at the game and at the restruant. Hell we even had the grand opportunity to meet you, very nice time.
I would love to see Appomattox make a trip to Mitchell Stadium or Tazewell. Tazewell is not much farther down the road from Bluefield (25 minutes). It is a nice little town with some unique restaurants and places to visit downtown, plus your standard fast-food places. You won't be disappointed. Plenty of places to eat and relax nearby.in Bluefield also. Very scenic drive through 2 mountain tunnels on the way, too. Mitchell stadium is very impressive for a High School Stadium. Tazewell's stadium is very similar to that of Appomattox. I would hate to see you folks, or whoever comes out of region C to make that drive to BSG or Central, too!!
Bluefield is very nice i went to college at Bluefield Baptist. It's not a bad drive and the tunnels are cool, beats running speed trap 460 lol. Amazingly i never traveled west of Bluefield around Tazewell school. We used to go north to a place i think it's called pinnacle point or something and camp out or should i say get far off campus to have a few drinks.lol
But you loved our little town , we even have warm weather now, I wouldn’t worry too much about us , now Central is another story , it is 15 miles up the road
Yes we did love the area even so much Lisa left her pocketbook at a restruant there and did not realize it until i was about an hour into the trip home!! lol Yes i had to turn around and go get it..
I believe it was @UVAObserver that said a few weeks ago the region needed to release a statement on the playoff format. Did the other regions base their playoff seedings from the points system and take the top 4 in their respective region?
It is my understanding only 2D is the only region not using power points solely and taking the top 4.
