Gate City plays well at UVA Wise..almost beat Martinsville there last year.. Bad decision by the Bears...but maybe money is the factor behind this.

Eastside is a very good team. That was my logic. They beat Central by 15 or so earlier. Looks like tonight was a great game. Wish I could have watched it in person.

Just curios when the whole concept of ''Holdbacks began. What year and when did this start in high school sports? Seems every school has them now. And now the big thing is bringing students from other countries to join your team to aid in winning a championship.

Not saying Wes and James are wimps and non -physical. Saying they are young men of character and fighting is not their way. Wes is a leader and so is James. We need to see more adults be leaders and examples to youth.
