I didn't think Ridgeview looked very good when i saw them play. I think im convinced so far this year that the region is down and its portraying some false favorites. If I had to pick a champion now I would say Radford, Central or someone from out East

Yeh for real. People just hyping Riverheads up again. Not saying theyre a bad team. But who's Christiansburg? Looks like they've had a cupcake schedule so far. So i dont think beating them calls for the best win in 2A.

Their only 2 wins are against winless teams. Jury still out on Appomattox as they seem to be down quite a bit. Not sure that makes Gretna legit yet

Its not happening this year either. They have 5 seniors and maybe 4 juniors on the team. Theyre small everywhere

Yes, u watch their film and a lot of times they have at least 2 lineman pulling. Then sometimes add the 2 in the backfield or the QB turning to block and u have 5 blockers on 2 or 3 defenders until u get past the LoS. Ive rarely seen teams pull one lineman much less multiple. Definitely gotta have quick big boys that are in shape. Would definitely be fun to coach against that and face the challenge as a coach

Anyone always has a chance. Thats why they play. Every game of every sport i ever played i always felt i could win. But its just not likely at all with GW vs Riverheads But what really makes Riverheads so dominate? Ive watched them quite a bit through the years. Theyre not overly athletic. Many times they have the fewer athletes. They usually have some big strong kids on the line, but many times so does the other team. Does it really come down to coaching? Well new coach this year is that right? If so, then did he just benefit from the coaching up of kids of the last guy that got all the credit? I think its just a numbers game. For the most part Riverheads just has more blockers than the D has defenders until they get a couple yards past the line of scrimmage. How do u overcome that on defense? Completely stack one side? Then they call an audible to the other side and go untouched? Apparently not many coaches have figured it out. I think if i see in the first series or two theyre gonna run at will, id tell the kids just go for the strip 😆. Wat u got to lose? It'll be a tall task for the Maroons, but would like to see them figure it out

Ive seen some posters say Central doesn't have speed. They look plenty speedy to me and very balanced. But those are just highlights. Ive read this is basically the same team that gave KW a fight last year. QB looks really nice. Im gonna say close for a half. Central 34-21

Well turnovers will do that, and very interesting play calling by Appomattox. Pennix couldn't be stopped and they almost forget about him the 2nd half. Would like to see the numbers by each half. The ball bounced Graham's way all day and still basically just beat them by 9. Yes its Appomattox but theyre nowhere near the level as they have been. Never said Graham was bad, just not the elite defense some seem to think. And no, i dont have anything against Graham cuz my teams not in it. I would love to see Graham dominate. i predicted Appomattox to win. I was wrong. I said they would load the box cuz Graham is more one dimensional this year. Yet someone said no, theyre very capable of passing. No, not from wat ive seen the past 2 games. Not even close. Let's revisit next Saturday. Im predicting an outcome similar to last year's finals. Its close for a quarter or 2 then Woodstock busts it open. That QB/WR duo is dangerous if its the same kids from last year. But believe me, i would love to see Graham dominate them

I don't agree with wildcat. Allows entire defense to key in on one guy. But if they can grind it out with a nice lead then great.

I agree. But Graham is having to work harder. More plays equal more opportunities for mistakes.

Yeh im wondering where Graham's speed is. Ive heard they have speed to burn. But have only seen one with decent speed. Players are getting frustrated with each other. I don't see Graham winning this. Im pulling for them though.

I know one thing. Graham's defense isnt as good as some talk about. I suspected they weren't before this game. But Appo will have as many yards as they want on the ground in this game. Graham better keep scoring
