Actually, it probably better for younger kids not to be in full pads, they’re still developing and their bodies aren’t ready for full pads. Middle school is plenty soon enough to be in full pads, just my opinion.

I honestly don’t know if Radford & Appomattox meet that Radford wins. I know CalPreps has Radford winning easily but I wouldn’t bet on the outcome.

I’d say they have a good a chance as anyone and better than most in Class 2 this year.

It’s not unheard of, Rocky Gap High School & Bland High School made up Bland County Bears football team long before there was ever a consolidated Bland County High School. It would be a smart move honestly for Buchanan County.

Strength of schedule should mean something- On the VA side, Bath County learned a weak schedule can hurt when you finally run into a good team even if you are undefeated!

Not even close, nothing against VH and I’d love to see a SWD upset but Union’s just too much for the Bearcats. I do think their freshman QB has done well and if he continues to improve will help them in the future.

He’s a Tazewell guy, he doesn’t know. Does he really think the Blacksburg players are all perusing this board. They’ve probably heard more comments out in their community than any of them have read on here.

The Wolfpack travels to Tazewell this year! I’m giving the nod to Tazewell if O’Quinn is still out and Creasy is playing. Even if O’Quinn is playing, I still think Tazewell can win. I know one thing, Bulldog nation will pack out that stadium for the Dawgs! Home field is definitely an advantage for them! After the embarrassing loss last year to Ridgeview, I think that works in Bulldog’s favor. They’ll want sweet redemption!

Rural Retreat is a bunch of scrappers. They’ve lost some close ones this season. I don’t think it was a fluke. Just think, they had that petition going around to get rid of the OC earlier in the season, lol.

Blacksburg supposedly had 40ish on their roster. Bland County played numerous games with like 14 or 15 kids. They canceled one game because they only had 11 to play. Blacksburg had 29ish out injured/sick, sure they did. It’s a fact Jack, if Blacksburg only had 11 in soccer and the rest were injured/sick , those 11 would play the entire time before forfeiting a soccer game.
