  1. But can “will” be two places at once? I heard he was going to be on the ridge Friday night. 😂😂
  2. That's what I'm thinking. If Union can grind out 4 or 5 yards a carry and eat up the clock, it will limit RV scoring opportunities. My question is, how good is RV's O Line? Can Union put enough pressure on O’Quinn to cause him to have some missteps? A few miscues by RV in a close game and with limited possessions could see Union winning narrowly. I think it will be a slobber knocker of a game for sure.
  3. I think it’s a toss up, one score game. I could be totally off base but I would be shocked if either win big. I’m going 21-20 with one or the other winning. 😂
  4. Old school coaches are a rare breed these days. Kids are too soft (not all kids) for that type of coaching.
  5. GW is a very good team with a back up QB that isn’t afraid to run. I think Jollay at QB is a better passer which would be better against Grundy in my opinion. I’m not sure when he comes back though. Both are coming off losses. Who will want it more? How do you all see this one shaking out?
  6. And some of them think the problem is entirely the coaches. I think as long as there is a little improvement each week no matter how much, that’s a win at this point for the Blues. It’s going to take time as in more than one season. Some folks won’t be satisfied unless a coach can give them instant “glory days” back! True fans support the program, coaches, & players through the drought. Just my humble opinion
  7. I’d like to see Richlands keep it close but I think Tazewell wins. Creasy & company had a good showing at Grundy and I think they’ll have an equally good showing against the Blues.
  8. I personally think the slow decline started with the departure of Snake in 2016. He is a mastermind of defense and part of the glue that held that program together. Richlands steadily started to go downhill even while Mance was still there. I think he knew talent level was not going to be like it had been. It’s not to say there isn’t talent now but it’s not the same level as they enjoyed a few years back. I think Mance realized that. You know, get out while the getting is good mentality plus he likes to golf, lol. I give Tarter credit for stepping up after the disaster of Wells and staying for the boys. I hope the Blues can muster some wins this season. I think they’ll improve if parents can be supportive rather than sabotaging the team. It’s just going to take some time & patience. Outsiders perspective, others may disagree!
  9. I really need more reactions for this thread tonight 😂. I’ll DM anyone who will let me borrow theirs 😂 and I don’t even want to know what you’re wearing 😂.
  10. Yeah, if you don’t take him down, he’s a slippery one. He can wiggle loose. Your kid is a good ball player too. Heard his name a lot tonight on PA. Good luck the rest of the way!
  11. Honestly, Graham didn’t not come out to play that first series. They let GW march the ball down the field. Defense improved 2nd half. We had some boys step up like Dolin, Isabelle was better tonight but overall not our best showing. Clements was great on offense, no surprise. To never started at QB with cold, rain, Shockley did a decent job but he’s obviously not a Meadows. I’m glad we won but we can play much much better than what we did tonight.
  12. It wasn’t pretty and definitely not our best game but a win is a win! Good luck to GW the rest of the way.
  13. I feel like if it hadn’t been homecoming week, Graham might have changed it. Next week is a bye week for them, realistically, they could have moved it to Monday but if it’s not as bye for GW as well, that would make it tough on them.
  14. Since this thread went completely off the rails 😂, do y’all think the rain favors Richlands? After all, Ridgeview passes a lot, that can be tricky in rain & wind. Maybe some turnovers go in the Blues’ favor??? That would be a bigger upset than GC over Union. The board would literally implode 😂.
  15. You win! You win! You win! 🏆 The trophy is yours 😂😂😂😂!
  16. 😂😂😂Yeah, because us Graham fans have the Richlands’ coach & principal on speed dial! Y’all keep all that drama on the western end of the county. We don’t want any part of it! 😂😂😂
  17. Yeah, he did say that but you see I consider UVAObserver more of a Tazewell guy so I wasn’t thinking of his comment as being a Graham person when I responded to you. None of the main Graham posters on this board like Mountain Football or myself ever said anything about Graham thinking GW was a pushover.
  18. Never mind, I get it UVAObserver stated his opinion and you chime in right on schedule 😂😂😂😂. Your obsession with him is unhealthy 😂😂😂😂.
  19. I would think with our governor declaring a state of emergency, even if Graham wants to play, GW would have the option of saying they’re not coming. Although, I don’t think the worst of it is until later on but who knows.
  20. What Graham person in this thread said GW was a pushover? You’re just making up 💩!
  21. Richlands is a hot mess right now with a group calling for McGee, Vencil, & Tarter to go. Seems like a select core group stirring the pot & getting others in an uproar to take up the cross with them so to speak. Kid wasn’t playing the entire game anymore & coaches trying some different stuff. Mommy got mad (egged on by some former coaches , hearsay) & kid quit and possibly transferring to Lebanon. I’m not sure why anyone would want to coach in that end of the county these days with all that drama. Tarter is a much better person & dedicated person to tough it out for those boys than most would be.
  22. Maybe the team doesn’t need someone who isn’t willing to stick out the 2nd half of the season??? I admittedly know zip about the team dynamics or Simmons’ abilities but quitting on your brothers is a bad look. Mom sounds like one of THOSE sports’ parents , lol!
  23. Better yet, can someone send us screenshots of the post 😂😂😂?
  24. He’s huge! He’s not done growing. Have mercy, he’ll be a force to be reckoned with as he develops.
