Just wondering what are you wanting to rank. PM is in Central Va, so If you are going to include them and Martinsville, you just about have to include all the Roanoke and Lynchburg area teams in the rankings as well.

You have to be able to defend to beat good teams. Gate City used to be known for their tenacious defense, but that has dropped off considerably the past few seasons.

I think they are talking about girls here, not the boys. Eastside girls beating Union girls is definitely an upset.

How do you think Gate City would fair against local college teams like Emory and Henry and UVA-Wise?

Union put it on Tazewell tonight 72-35. Union is one of the contenders in the Mountain 7 District. Was Tazewell at full speed?

I don't see it as a nightmare at all. Most of the traffic for the wrestling tournament will already be at the event. The attendance at the football game will not be significant.

Who has a better chance of winning a state title this year? GC boys or one of the girls teams?

How was Union's shift any different from the shift of a muddle huddle? Probably none in my opinion. I think the officials just blew the call because it was so unexpected.

So how did Abingdon beat Va High more than Gate City did?

I probably would have made the officials aware of the play before the game, just so there wouldn't be any surprises. But that didn't cost them the game. The subsequent 10 yard punt is what unfortunately killed them.
