Rd 3 with Parry McCluer Monday at James River to determine the regular season champ.

Not much of a neutral site but that just confirms what I knew of the Pioneer District.

Does it even matter really? You couldn't beat GW in 100.years and a 1,000 chances

"Damn it, no they aren't. The above isn't true I tell you!"

You are wasting your time HB7. Anything said remotely positive about Giles and this cat is swinging opposite. It's pretty clear the Giles 9th and 10th grade classes are far more athletic than the 11th and 12th grade classes to any human who has ever seen both play. It's not even close. Does that mean they will be Better? That's a whole other ballgame there, but they are definitely more athletic.

When in the hell did I ever say anything about athleticism? Or say anything to HB7? I said probably not to NRV and per usual HB7 tries stirring something. Giles probably won't win more than 3 next year is the Only thing I said which is probably true. Follow the thread before picking a side next time won't ya

21 does have speed and plenty of height. He just hasn’t gotten utilized how he should this season. Yes, I understand the single-wing is designed to run but even Ragsdale wasn’t afraid to throw the ball and he wouldn’t wait until 3rd and long to do so. If teams insist on loading the box then start throwing it on first down or second and short situations and don’t have the play set up to where 2-3 receivers are running identical routs to the same location. Someone will be open. I’m not saying that Giles needs to throw ball 15-20 times a game, but it should be thrown more than 3-4 times and not only on 3rd and long. This is just my opinion and no I do not have any desire to coach. Done it for a few years in a different sport at the high school level and it’s just not my calling in life.

You're allowed to throw in situations that aren't 3rd or 4th and long? Next thing you'll say is you're allowed to attempt to score with your backups when you're at the goal line down by 34 points with plenty of time on the clock?! No no no we'll just pack it up and head home without any kind of confidence or moral booster. Maybe those two timeouts will rollover to next week? 🤷

We’re already on track to go down as having the worst record since 1978. Might as well add worst defense since 1978 along with it.

Tonight actually put Giles over the worst points against in School history. Sitting at 305 in just 9 games. 2002 was the previous record at 304 with the 2018 giving up 300 as well

hey wingman, I know you don't want to give away all the super coaching tricks away you learned this year, but how about benching a starter on defense, the week after playing a great game on defense. Not letting him practice defense all week, then starting him at linebacker on friday night after not letting him practice all week. Whooo! That's some major coaching right there.

No way, Ill top that with how about not playing a safety against an obvious passing team so your corners don't have help over the top! Then I'll complain that we can't stop the pass in the crunch magazine. Genius!

I didn't think you would ever ask. @1Wingit23has my vote. I know he's a diehard Giles guy but we've seen that connection work well in the past for Richlands. The man knows his x's and o's as good as anybody. He'll have them bench pressing Volkswagens and squatting trucks in no time.

No, I would sit on my butt and not have any type off-season program and just lose game after game after game. If that didn't didn't work, I would move my personnel around each and every week so the kids have no idea their responsibilities after practicing a new position for 1 whole practice. If that still didn't work, I would set up my defensive alignment to play to their strengths. It wouldn't matter how good I did I'm the pre-season or the first game I would just mangle it. I would still have loyal supporters so I'm thankful for that I guess

I'm just curious to know who and where

I can only answer for what I know to be factually accurate however Parsell has had visits/invites to both Thiel College in Pennsylvania and at Concord with an upcoming visit scheduled next weekend at Bridgewater. Saunders also had a visit to Concord a couple of weeks ago.

Think the names was Estes or something but what year is he? He did well and also Wilcoxin I believe it was. Are those both JV guys for Giles?

Heck, he wouldn't know. Doesn't even go to many games just runs his mouth on the Internet. Estes is super fast and is a senior, Wilcoxon is a sophomore and will probably be Giles starting TB next year. Estes should be utilized more now if they keep the backfield alignment the same as the previous WB moved to TB and Estes plays wingback also. Or according to some, we should just stick a bunch of under classman in there to gain experience which would eliminate Estes as well. There's 2 seniors in Giles backfield that are currently being recruited by several colleges but we should apparently bench them for the future of the program....🤦

Yeah if they hold onto the ball...let the young ones Plat to gain experience is all I'm saying

You keep referring "holding on to the ball"  but when did one fumble by a player became such a major issue? No fumble is good but the blatant over exaggerating looks silly.

Build for the future....isn't gonna learn watching....and same outcome with the seniors in there....but the stats are better lol

So are you suggesting they just fold? There's still opportunity to improve our playoff position. One could logically argue that the backfield Giles deployed against Tazewell could have very well led to a win against Galax. Typically, better offensive stats leads to more points the last I checked.....
