I know Chilhowie plays Rural Retreat this week along with Eastside playing Twin Springs. Those both will be big games in 1D but does Honaker and PH also play this Friday? If so it’s a big week for 1D

One thing I’d like to add about the jerseys around here is teams sporting a black jersey when black isn’t in their colors. Looks atrocious. I do like Unions all orange combo with the navy helmet. Also a big fan of Mingo Central’s jerseys.

Fair point. I’ll see your wide open receivers and raise you all the penalties that Union supposedly committed on all the big plays that were called back all night.

Outplayed Graham all night but the penalties killed us. Gonna have to play clean next week in Norton against the Warriors. This game sets up kinda like it did in 2019.

Wasn’t the cleanest game from Union. Ridgeview has some talented, athletic kids and from what I seen, they could be used a lot better. They were fortunate to keep this game close with Union tonight in my opinion.

I know Castlewood isn't bad. Fully expect them to give Burton all they want on the 5th. Just didn't expect it to be that lopsided. Honaker hasn't been Honaker in a few years. Maybe longer. Just didn't know if kids were transferring to other schools or just not coming out or what was going on

What has happened in Swords Creek? They've had some down years but man oh man. Getting beat by almost 40 against Castlewood has raised some brows.

Polier could have gone to App State, William & Mary. He's a big family person and he wanted to stay close to his family and playing time right away was a huge factor. The kid would excel wherever he went. He was the best defensive player around here this season and he's going to make a lot of noise at Wise the next four years.

M7 boys and girls tournaments will be a lot of fun. Anybody think someone other than Gate City boys and Abingdon girls win tourney crowns? Boys have a variety of more capable teams in my opinion. Also, what is everyones thoughts on the Cumberland, SWD, Hogo, Black Diamond?

The newspapers around here are a joke. I remember when they would put out stat leaders in football and basketball during the season. Standings and have multiple write ups. They don't have the writers they used to have. Tim Hayes is the best writer in the area I think. I enjoy reading his stuff

I hate that they move these games now. I played in a mud pit in the region d championship game in 2003 @ Lawson Fitchko. We lost but it was cold, muddy and on a saturday. Playoff football in the coalfields. How its meant to be.

Any word on Zack Halls injury from Friday night? Looked pretty bad. I know he came back in the game later in the second half. Was hearing it was possibly a torn or sprained mcl?

Gonna stick with the Wise county team here. Robinson is a great coach though and Chilhowie will play very well. Gonna say the Raiders playing at Lawson Fitchko will be the difference, 30-28.
