RV did not play dirty. The fake field goal was a little much I agree. I thought 30 gets you a running clock anyway. RV played a great game considering the conditions on the ridge. The offense is getting a lot better and they are getting very confident. Hopefully, they will play next Saturday as I’m afraid it’ll be another fog bowl if they don’t.

Yeah I was really surprised they didn’t call roughing on that. I was on the RV stands and thought he was down. The refs were very inconsistent and let it get a little too chippy.

In high school a team can get red hot so you never really know. I know when Clintwood won the state title in 2011 they had a couple of bad losses. Then got became a raging inferno. Based on the RV@Bluefield game, the Beavers seem to have that potential. I’d say a team that can run the ball with a good line would take them down though. RV did have a pretty physical long drive in the 2nd qtr of that game. But I know very little about wva.

it is amazing how fast coaches get run off now. When Clintwood was open teams could win 2 games a year (boys basketball and baseball) and not a word would be said.

In normal seasons you’d be 100% correct. But this is the 3rd coaching staff in 4 seasons. The only common denominator that I can see is the A.D., principal, and superintendent. This is just what the public can see. It makes me ask are there any other issues going on in the school system.

Having said all of this, what are Bluefields chances of winning another state title? I know nothing of WVA football, but they were far and away RV’s best opponent so far this year.
