Graham starters play the whole game unless they are beating a team by a lot.

I think the game is going to be a good game. I’m saying 34-21 Graham. I think Tazewell is much better then people think and Graham has some work to do. If Graham doesn’t clean up the penalties it could be a much closer game. Graham is going to have to work on the pass defense this week and Linebackers are going to need to clean up some things for those short passes and communicating with the defense. Bluefield was successful with that. Grahams offense will improve significantly with some work on the OL. They improved drastically over what I saw vs Glass and Gate City.

I was surprised about Galax especially after hearing how good Glenvar was

I’m not saying the Isabel kid isn’t talented but why mess with your LB duo of Meadows and Hughes that got them to state and have chemistry. Go back and watch film when they move Hughes to MLB. He was communicating with every lineman and player. That is what you need in that position. Isabel is taller and fits an OLB position better and actually played that position in several games last year and did pretty good. Several coaches on the team have said the same thing as well.

Graham is good and I was impressed with their offense and how it’s progressed since the last scrimmage but it still needs some work. They need to develop some routes for Watkins. As I see it, Graham needs to work on 1. Penalties- The amount of penalties they had allowed Bluefield to come back 2. Pass Defense- I said it last year and it is still an issue. Bluefield had players wide open and thank goodness they didn’t catch it or it might have been a different game. Watkins did great on several pass plays last night. 3. Bluefield didn’t run the ball up the middle much but when they did they got yardage. Talking with some of the long time Graham fans last night, we all are in agreement that Hughes needs to be in at MLB with Meadows. The Isabel kid is not ready and when they took him out and put Hughes back there, defense played their best. I know his dad is a coach and played that position but not really the best for their team. I was impressed with Edwards last night, Clements is one of a kind, Roberts was strong, Meadows is just a great kid and a huge asset on offense and defense. The OL at times last night could have done better. I have no doubt that Palmer will continue to get this team better.

I think it’s going to be a close game. I think Grahams defense is going to be hard on Bluefield’s OL. Graham-14 Bluefield-6

The only thing I’ve heard by someone who has watched them is that they are fast and like to run on the outside and do quick pass routes. They haven’t faced a defense like Grahams yet so will be interesting.

Glass has a lot of big boys. I thought Graham starters looked better this week especially the offense. I worry about Meadows having to play QB and LB but feel like he is needed there. I know a lot of people on here are big on the Isabel kid and I’m just not seeing it. He looks confused on a lot of plays. He looked much better when he played OLB last year. I’m not sure who #23 is but he is very talented. Graham needs to find another RB that can get some yards. Overall, Graham looks very solid but still needs to fine tune some things.

Graham- Graham starters didn’t play a lot. I’ve seen the comments on defense and I think they can and will be solid but I disagree with Isabel kid, he has potential but think he would be better as OLB. He missed several tackles and Gate City ran right up the middle. When Meadows wasn’t in there with him he looked sloppy. Not saying he isn’t talented and can’t be great but don’t think he is in the right position yet. Graham had a dynamic LB group that got them to state so not sure why they don’t have Meadows and Hughes together. Why mess with something that worked well. I guess we will see. The passing games needs some work and hope they work on that. Keep #5 healthy he is fantastic. I expected more of Roberts and Loyd yesterday against Gate City. They have some kinks to work out before the Beaver game but think they can do it.

I’ve done some research on KW and watched some film against Central. I also looked at the records of the teams they beat and either those teams played against other really good teams. Most of the teams they beat only won like 3 games at most. I’m watching the game from yesterday, their RB is good and quick. I wasn’t impressed at least with their performance yesterday. Appomattox looks like a much better team. I don’t think they’ve faced a defense like Graham’s. Graham needs to focus on how they are going to score points this week because I’m worried about the QB issue and I’m assuming they don’t kick to Bradshaw but I’ve assumed that before and teams just keep doing it.

I am pulling for the G-Men but I hope that we see a great game, great sportsmanship, and that everyone stays safe. Both teams have had a great season and hoping our G-Men come out focused and ready to play.

I’ll predict Graham 28 Appomattox 21

I’ve watched a couple of videos of Appomattox and they have a great team and seem to like to run more which I think benefits Graham defense. I expect they will plan to mix it up. In the Glenvar game, Appomattox had their way with Glenvar’s defense with the run. Glenvar LB were lined up way to close to the line and over pursued. They will see a much better LB duo with Hughes and Meadows with Graham. They had a heck of a game against Ridgeview and have just improved every game. It’s going to be a close game.

I think the defense as improved with the addition of Ubrenal Isabel as well (not sure of spelling).

I was getting ready to ask the same thing.

Does anyone know if the Hughes kid is going to be playing this week? I noticed he hasn’t played the last couple of weeks. Graham will need him against Union for blocking and as LB.
