I added the remaining Region III, Class AA district this season after the Dogwood (the combination district) went all Class A. Thought I might as well include them since I had the RRD and the BRD on the site. OB Blake is gone but his little brother will be taking over the QB position from what I hear. They have a kid who has already verballed to VT...Daryl Robertson, 6'3", 285. Liberty should win the Seminole, but don't overlook Heritage, Jefferson Forest, or Brookville. Any team that survives the Seminole regular season will be tough to handle come playoff time. The Sweet 16 is purely my opinion based on what I read, hear, and know. If you go back and look, my early season predictions are fairly accurate, of course you will have a team or two that come out of nowhere and a team or two that will disappoint.

I think they go to Gate City for a four-way with Gate City, Patrick Henry (Glade Spring), and Patrick Henry (Roanoke) on the 12th. I think you are correct about a trip to Rockbridge Co. for a benefit game on the 19th. If I hear different, I'll post it.

Guys... LISTEN TO LANCE!!! It is a RARE occassion that anyone from this area will run a TRUE 4.5 in the forty. Being timed by a coach is NOT the same as being laser timed. Lots of folks around here way overestimate the speed of local athletes. Around here, running a 4.8 or less is fast...and there are not as many of those as a lot of people think. Garon Marcum ran a 4.5, Ahmad Bradshaw ran a 4.5...I haven't seen many, or any kids around here that can catch either of those two from behind without having an angle. And even with an angle, it better be a good one because both of them are/were fast enough to beat the angle with their 4.5 speed. If someone tells you that so and so runs a 4.5 or less...more than likely its HOGWASH!!! Sub 4.5 speed is a rare bird, especially in this area...

Plenty of parking at the high school...the lot in front of the school, the lot behind the school, the two big grass areas in front of the school, the two practice fields west of the football field. They could even shuttle folks from the Middle School if need be.

The JV and Jr. High teams played all of their home games on that field. If they could put in some NICE metal bleachers, a new scoreboard, some new goalposts, and upgrade the lighting, it really wouldn't be that bad of a home field. Anybody got half a mil sitting around to get this ball rolling???

Word I got Friday is that he is back at home. Tests for heart attack and stroke came back negative. I think they may still be awaiting results from other tests.

If Graham's line can get things together this year, it is possible that they will have several backs that have good numbers but I don't think any of them will have phenominal numbers due to spreading the ball around to so many players. They won't have one running back that gets 90% of the carries this season like Grundy or Richlands...running back by committee in other words...it worked in '95...
