  2. So you talked to the administration first hand and they told you? And 70 some points were scored and statistically kept, but the game never happened? Wow!
  3. Was trying to find online articles of Graham's last state championship team. I guess that happened way back before online newspapers were produced. None the less, hope you enjoy the Bluefield articles. There are many more if you need help finding them.

  5. Sorry to bust some bubbles, but there will be no forfeits of any football games. Would have probably been reported if there had been forfeits from possibly wvmetronews, charleston daily mail/gazette, and even wvtailgatecentral. Streak at -2
  6. Your full of $hit too! Who was in on offense for Wayne's last drive? I'll answer that for you, the Starters! I guess someone will need to pay you another visit in 2 weeks since the message wasn't delivered clear enough when Bluefield was up there coward. Wayne subbed a couple of dlinemen for Dwight and Bryant, nothing more.
  7. Will Cole wasn't good enough to start at Graham either.....
  8. http://www.mygamefilms.com. They have a bunch of games that have been converted to dvd including the 1959, 1962, 1975 state championship etc... And yes you can even purchase the 2004 Weir game. The site lets you watch about 3 min of the game for a preview. There are still a lot of games that need to be added, but there is enough there now to grab your attention. I think there is around 203 games right now with more to be added. Some have the wrong title, but I am working with the guy to correct it. So go check it out!
  9. Well we do have the best trainer in the state. Huge upgrade to what we use to have.
  10. Yes McCracken played last night. Very good arm and he will be able to see over the line. Threw some nice fades to in the corner of the endzone. He also throws the sideline route well.
  11. It was pretty even. Bluefield had a slight edge in TDs (10-9), and Richlands had a couple more interceptions on defense than Bluefield did. TD wise for Bluefield, Ponder(4),Payne(3), and Mark Page, J. Powell, Matthew Carter all had one TD. M. Jordan also had nice grabs along with some moves that set up some TDs. All Receivers had very nice catches and runs after the catch. Powell threw for 8 TDs. All in all good showing for the first time this year.
  12. Well eventhough I still don't think it was right to change the subject on Redrider like that, I will still give my opinion. I think Weir High will run away with the NCAA title next year. I see them only being challenged by Duke, but I see Weir running away in the 2nd half b/c Duke will intimidated by the Weir uniform. Player of the year goes to Chris Pugh for his great insight on Weir athletics and wonderful technique in carrying everyone's jockstrap for Weir athlete's. No way Weir wins the tourney without him. When hearing of his POY, all Weir players will willingly let Chris feel their midsection since that is always something he dreamed of doing. Good job Chris, we knew you could do it.
  13. Bluefield and Graham will play twice this year. The second date will be on September 30. It should make for a couple of exciting games. This now gives Bluefield 9 games and Graham 10.
  14. " However I did play in two playoff games " Wow, 2 playoff games, Is that what you call a great program? This years seniors for Bluefield played in 4 playoff games in just their sophomore year and 12 all together. It is amazing to me that you only played in 2 playoff games at a school such as Weir. Did you guys hang up your team picture for getting to the quarterfinals? BTW, if you would have went to Bluefield you would have played in alot more playoff games.
  15. Yes the rings are very nice. And Rusty, I think you have earned the right to show off that ring. So show it off as much as possible b/c if any class ever deserved a ring it was you and your class. BTW, have any of you seen Weir's championship rings? They are so cheap you can see right through them.
  16. Yes, that was the exact picture I was talking about. Hopefully the Weir guy/girl (He has to be a girl the way he keeps bringing up the past and crying and whining about it) can enjoy that picture as much as we have.
  17. The best part about it, is that every time the Weir guy/girl gets on this board, he has to look at Rusty showing off that beautiful state champion trophy. That is something he never got to do and never will get to do.
  18. He is a kid from Philadelphia that just became eligible. He actually became eligible last week but most of the games were postponed. He will probably play football next year also. He is very quick and can distribute the ball well. Look for him to start getting some PT on the varsity level after a few games.
  19. Graham H Princeton H Beckley H Hoover H Oak Hill H Shady Spring A Mt. View A James Monroe A Lee High A Liberty Raleigh dropped Bluefield because they want to play 10 single A schools so that they can make the playoffs. Therefore that is 9 games and it will likely be only nine games unless someone is dropped and then picked up by us. We are also scrimmaging Pulaski County.
  20. for the guys that don't know this. Jeff Boyles calls the offense. Simon hasn't called offense since the early 90's. He calls defense as he has for the last decade.
  21. Well the coverage is not even close to being like it was back in the 60's and 70's. You might have committed suicide if you could go back to the Stubby Currence days. By the way, the coverage is equal nowadays. Each team in the area gets one article each leading up to the game that week and then a write up about that game the next day after the game. So quit your crying. This all started b/c someone said he would like the area teams gunning for state championships to get more coverage because they deserve it and have earned it. I think he probably would like to say now that he wished it was like the good ol' days when there was a write up each day for the teams still playing. I still can't figure it out why you took offense to his statement. Maybe you are just jealous for whatever reason but the fact is, the coverage could be and needs to be better (especially for Bluefield) for the teams.
  22. The score was 28-14 with Beaver dominating most of the game with the exception of two Weir drives. One at the end of the 1st half and the 1st drive of the second half. Quincy Wilson had around 130 yards with 2 TDs with most of that yardage coming on one play, which was a quick pitch that went for about 45 yds. Charlie Tynes was dominant with over 100 yds rushing(2TD), 30 yds receiving(1TD) and great special teams play. Donald Amaker had around 70 yds rushing and 65 receiving with 1 TD. Bluefield jumped out to a 21-0 lead and then they hit cruise control.
  23. I know Bluefield had a 32 game winning streak that lasted from 1966 to 1969. Now I don't know about the other team's, but I figure that record would be way up there.
