  4. You can strike off one name from the list of possible candidates at UT. Jon Gruden has said, "thanks, but no thanks" to the UT athletic department. Never really felt he was a realistic hire from the start. If I were a Tennessee fan I would want Charlie Strong, but I am not, so I hope they hire some scum like Todd Graham from ASU. That would be Kiffin: The Sequel.
  5. ND's run may very well end vs. USC but I can guarantee that it will not be this weekend. ND is at BC and home vs WF the next two weekends.
  6. Even though UW-Whitewater dropped one earlier in the year, it will probably be another rematch in the Stagg Bowl, UW-W vs MUC for the 8th straight season. UW-W was had the upper hand in the series winning 4 of the last 5 titles.
  7. Looks like the betting world believes it will be RGIII. Just last night the odds for RGIII to win went from 7-2 to a huge favorite at 1-4.
  8. Agreed with everything about Hosley, just didn't seem like the same player this season. The hamstring injury has really hampered his play. The one I am upset about is Kyle Fuller, that guy makes plays everywhere on the field, IMHO should have been 1st team. And it appears with Wilson and Kuechly will be OPOY and DPOY when those are announced. Only 2 to be unanimous selections on either team.

  14. Braves trade for Michael Bourn this morning. Give up Jordan Schafer and 3 prospects. None of the big 4 that have been mentioned before are included.
  15. http://www.khou.com/news/local/Astros-draft-paralyzed-San-Jacinto-player-in-40th-round-123504244.html Astros get into the act as well.
  16. http://www.smokingmusket.com/2011/6/6/2208489/bill-stewart-source-chuck-landon-dana-holgorsen Sounds like it was Ol Bill that leaked the information. What would all the WVU fans like to see happen?
  17. My brother and I have put together a team for the Tazewell County Relay for Life in memory of our late mother who passed away a year and a half ago from cancer. She was always one of my brother and I biggest fans all throughout our athletic careers, she probably only missed a handful of games over the years. She was even president of the Richlands High School football parents club. I am posting this asking for any sort of donations be made in her memory for the Relay for Life in the fight against cancer! Every penny will certainly help and I can't even express how grateful I would be if you could join in the cause. I would venture to guess that cancer has somehow affected some on this board in one way or another so let us band together in the fight! Jimmy V said it best "Don't give up, Don't ever give up!!" https://secure3.convio.net/tacs/site/Donation2?idb=1136618916&df_id=1008607&1008607.donation=form1&FR_ID=33172&PROXY_ID=19993943&PROXY_TYPE=20 Thanks Guys!!
  18. Watched about a minute of this video of the aftermath, total destruction.
  19. Anybody that really watches the games knew going into this season that the Heat were going to be a work in progress. For the most part on the offensive end they play 3 on 5 with the Big relied upon to do most of the scoring or creating for others to score. The biggest strength of putting these 3 guys together isn't on the offensive end but on the defensive end. When their heads are in it and play with passion and intensity, the Heat play absolute shutdown defense. Rose was mostly invisible last night down the stretch. Miami is able to switch most ball screens and keep him contained and away from attacking the rim. The reason Chicago won G1 was all the 2nd chance points and Haslem showing up last night took away that option from the Bulls. Thought before the series that Miami would win in 6 and I am sticking by that. The Bulls have been pretty bad on the road this season so I'd expect the series to go back to Chicago 3-1 Heat. As far as The Decision goes, was definitely over the top, but I really don't think the whole ESPN thing was all Lebron's idea. There were multiple people in his ear making that whole thing go down. Lebron had every right to leave Cleveland and did so. Can't fault him for that.
  20. Literally was pulling into the parking lot for the 1st round today when we heard the news of Tiger WD. Nonetheless, we had hospitality tickets over looking #17 tee with free adult beverages/food all day. Lets just say I walked out of TPC Sawgrass satisfied.
  21. Anywhere from $3.89-$4.00 in the Daytona Beach/Port Orange area in Florida
  22. Heard through sources that 2 officers have been killed, along with 2 others who have been airlifted to Johnson City. One of the shooters have been shot and killed and authorities are still in search of other suspect.
  23. Philly the past couple years has been known to come out of the blocks slow and really get things going after the ASB. Atlanta needs to coming out hitting on all cylinders and try to build some sort of lead in the East or WC. I agree with Lance there still isn't enough 'pop' in the lineup and the Braves need to be much, much better on defense to have any chance this season. In the end, Phils have way too many big arms in the rotation so I'd be thrilled with another opportunity at the WC and just having a chance to do damage in the postseason.
  24. Now reports that former Hokie All-American Cornell Brown will be joining the Hokies staff next season. Full details are not out yet but official announcement will be Friday.
  25. I have always heard never trust a man with two first names, but someone with the names of 2 high school in the area....don't turn your back on him. When I first read through the names I honestly thought it was some sort of typo that included a team from West Virginia.
