The main reason they play is because they are in the same County and School Board says that the county teams, with exception to Holston playing Abingdon, have to play each other. So Abingdon plays PH as well as Battle, and the other 3 schools Holston, PH, and Battle all schedule each other. I would say if Abingdon could take both PH and Battle off their schedule they would.

My favorite place is down in Kingsport, Pratts BBQ, best Ribs you'll eat anywhere, it's the resturant with the Giant Indian in front of it, everyone should try it when in Kingsport!

Region D has 8 teams boys and girls make the tournament in both Divisions with the top seeds hosting a first round game, the semifinals for D1 at Castlewood & D2 at Lebanon, the Championships at VA High.

If Gate City and Powell Valley win this week it would be major points for both because of the extra points they will get from Burton and Appalachia. Gate City could get 34 points just by beating Burton,16 for the win and 18 for every win by Burton and Powell Valley could get 28 points just by beating Appy, 16 for the win and 12 for the wins by Appy! That could push both of them past Lebanon for that top seed? It's going to be next Saturday, Nov. 10th before we find out it's so close!

I think you have to add Lebanon middle Linebacker #4 Richard Lockridge to this list! He is on just about every tackle!

I would say Lebanon is the most overated and Chilhowie is the most underated
