  1. Can’t wait to the second quarter so we can find out if George Wythe would finish better than 3rd in the BDD @olewave
  2. true. 1. Council (Undefeated) 2. Twin Valley (Undefeated in the BDD) 3. Tazewell .4 Hurley 5. Grundy 6. Honaker
  3. I don’t even know where the DM button is any more
  4. Here’s some things about the matchup and this year’s Grundy team I’ve came across: 1. This will be 75th game between the two schools. Tazewell holds the edge 41-31-2. Only 5 times have the teams alternated wins/losses over 3 game spans. It seems like there has always been a 3,4,5 game winning streak by either team over the years. 2. Scammell is averaging 149 yards and 2td’s per game which is actually less than he averaged last year. 3. Grundy’s had two different players throw touchdown passes. 4. Jonah Looney has scored 3 touchdowns and I feel like he never gets talked about. 5. Grundy has another Garon Marcum on the roster. (Freshman RB/WR). The elder Garon’s son, I assume?
  5. Ok, so no works cited on “some of the tazewell faithful” saying they would win the region? Because that’s what you had brought up. I’m all for a good argument but all I ask is that you bring receipts and stay on topic.
  6. Speaking of Dillon quarterbacks, their eighth grade qb named Josiah Oxendine that has already received an offer from Pitt & two other small D1 schools.
  7. Last year, this year, what are we talking about? You started out by claiming delusion but didn’t cite any of your source material. I feel like I missed something but I’m not getting filled in.
  8. Good idea. Get them used to playing on Thursdays so after consolidation they’ll be used to it if VT plays a Friday game 😂
  9. But who/where has someone said that? It wasn’t in the Graham thread. Was it somewhere else that I missed? Harris is averaging 4 catches per game. If he really was getting 20+ targets the team completion percentage would be awful.
  10. You’re right. Just trying to figure out where the delusion is.
  11. You’re right, it doesn’t. That was @GMan’s post in that thread. Thanks for confirming what I just said.
  12. Actually, this isn’t true at all. Go back and read the thread. Most Tazewell posters said they were hopeful they could keep it close but the only person that actually claimed a win for Tazewell was @GMan https://www.swvasports.com/ipb/index.php?/topic/46023-graham-vs-tazewell/
  13. If you don’t have a clear cut impact player at QB1 I don’t see the problem in making some changes to ensure your best athlete touches the ball every play
  14. Isn’t each class you play up only worth 2 points, not 4? I thought it was 1a - 16 Win / 4 Loss 2a - 18/6 3a - 20/8 4a - 22/10 5a - 24/12 6a - 26/14 am I wrong? Or did I misunderstand what you were saying?
  15. From what I seen against Bluefield there is little to no drop off in passing ability from Simmons to Brown. However I never really seen them throw a deep ball.
  16. I know that Unicoi played Tazewell, VA back in the 40’s for at least one game. Pretty sure I remember seeing where them and VA High used to play regularly for a while. @BlueDevilVolMan you can go to http://fourseasonsfootball.com/tn.html and click on Unicoi and see all of their results of their past games.
  17. Bulldogs playing pretty well but have to get some sustained drives going so that the defense doesn’t wear down
  18. Riverheads 7 Tazewell 6 3:30 left in the first half
  19. Bulldogs hold Riverheads again on 4th and 1.
  20. Tazewell 3 &out Rivergeads returns punt to Tazewell’s 18. Tazewell holds them to 3 & out. Riverheads missed FG on second drive. tazewell ball, nearing the end of the 1st qt
  21. Tazewell holds Riverheads on 4th and goal from the 1 on the first drive Tazewell ball with 99 yards to go
