It’s beginning to look like with this forfeit if Appomattox wins region C, they will most likely be traveling for the semis. I know it’s a big if at this point who will win region C. It could be one of several teams right now. I find it interesting they decided the game would be a forfeit when the FBI were the ones who shut the campus down so the game couldn’t be played on Saturday after it was canceled Friday. It seems totally out of Appo’s hands at that point. This decision certainly helps LB.
Bandana you are always professional in your posts and I enjoy your insight on this board. I was thinking Auburn would hire out of house and bring in someone who is known for building programs. The current coach may do so. I don't know much about him. I just know a former head coach who was rumored to have applied that would have been a great hire for Auburn.
So what? What is your point or contribution to the subject other than a snarky comment? Has Richlands been on the plus side of transfers before? Yes. But, the topic here is what the hell is going on with Richlands now....at this current moment. Part of their current problem is that some of their home-grown talent flew the coop.

I've spoken with Coach a couple of times over the past couple of years and he doesn't have enough help. He does have the S&C program going but it hurts to lose several All-district/All-region caliber players to the "transfer portal". I think a big problem is that they can't find a dynamic QB and they are switching offenses yearly. Offense isn't coach's forte.....he is more a special teams/positional coach. He needs an energy injection in his coaching staff. I think Richlands is ripe for a OC or DC to come in and really sink their teeth into it. It is my alma mater and I considered jumping in and helping out a couple of years ago but wasn't ready to leave my current job. In a couple of years, I'd definitely jump if I get another offer. If I do, I'll go 110%.

My daughter just got home from Auburn. She said the Auburn administration came across the field at halftime and informed Galax they only had 13 healthy players for the second half and would not be finishing the game.
Maybe they should consider a Bland type schedule for the next few years.
Been hearing Giles has talent for years and I belive they do. Maybe a lot of the issue is the offensive and defensive lines? I mean if the blocking isn't there then even the most athletic backs will have issues without good fundamental technique and blocking. Or maybe they are not being developed in the off season by not hitting the weights? Or just pure bad coaching? Something is not right.
Think it's a combination of all of the above...and as I said I just don't think we are very athletic and it shows
This teams talent got wasted too. A few years ago people were high on this current class of seniors. There's a couple that started in varsity as freshman, several as sophomores, and most as juniors. This is probably the most athletic as well as experienced group that has came through Giles in years. They returned their entire backfield too and still can't win. I'm not sure how long "the talent cycle" excuse can hold up
