Yes Jordan from Abingdon transferred to Va High. The biggest loss they will have was the graduation of the OLine and D Line. They were really good up front last year.

The highest seed remaining from the West hosts the lowest seed remaining from the east and vice versa. The east's highest seed remaining will host the lowest seed remaining from the west.

He is a very good football player. Looked like he was about 5'9 or 5'10. The game plan was very good that the Ravenswood coaches put together. They went with a no huddle and got the ball out of the QB's hands very quick. The mostly ran QB power when he ran the ball. The Bluefield secondary was confused all day on the little crossing routes that they threw.

When it's all said and done Richlands didn't make the plays at the end of the game that they needed to. Give credit to Union they made the plays when it counted.

Mullins and Collins split 50/50. Lankford is no longer a starter. With Cordle out we are starting a Jr. Lankford didn't play a snap against Gate City.

8 of 11 starters on defense are underclassmen. Thrown Chase Collins who splits time at Safety and you have 9. They have 6 underclassmen starting on offense. If you play Richlands you want to play them early. I wouldn't want to play them the 2nd half of the season.

Herron kid from Gate City is the real deal. He wore #7 last year and scored 2-3 Td's against Grayson Co on friday night. It will be a very good game. Just hope the Richlands kids can get the nerves out of the way in the 1st Quarter while playing at Legion Field. That place will be packed and going crazy.

Want know to much about Richlands tonight. It will be game 2 or 3 before we know what kind of team they will have.

Richlands vs Gate City on opening night. Winner gets the advantage of being set for one of the top spots in the 2a West playoff picture.

What you would expect for a scrimmage like this. It's hard to really tell. They just ran basic plays. It looks like the defense is going to be pretty good this year. We will know more come Friday when they scrimmage Belfry and George Wythe.

They participated in a 7 on 7 at Honaker and 1 at Emory. They played well at Honaker until they got beat by the Richlands JV Team. The Emory 7 on 7 was up and down for them all day.

I know Nick Colobro is on the new staff. He will be working the new offensive coordinator.

Running the football will be better this year in my opinion. This years O-Line will be a lot better and the running game will put up better numbers. If Richlands avoids injuries they will be a tough out this year.

Giles will be at the top of the division again. I believe they return 8 starters on each side of the ball or something like that. Tazewell should be much improved. The key to there season will be if they can get the defense going in the right direction.

Friday at 7:30. To be honest I thought Va High had a good chance for the simple fact that Gretna is a team that lacks discipline and it showed last night. The game friday will come down to if the RB Brown for Va High can get some running lanes. If he does then things could get interesting in a hurry. It has the making of a exciting night of football.

We are 5 points behind Gretna. We will make that up if we beat Grundy for them winning there 3 games. Gretna plays Nelson County who hasn't one a game all year. It will come down to rider points.

I would go back and look at it again. Richlands beat your 8th grade team this year.
